Telegraph are reporting Schneiderlin has had a medical at Everton and is set to move. They add that it is likely to mean either or both Cleverley and McCarthy are shown the door.

I'm not keen on McCarthy for the fee and wages he will command and Cleverley was a shocker for us in all but half a dozen games - better at hiding than Lord Lucan.

At least Cleverley gave a damn. I remember for maybe six games there he was trying to keep us up more than many of our permanent players. I would be fine to see him back, mediocre perhaps but still an upgrade from most of what we currently have.

After Lansbury we still need at least 1 if not 2 more central midfielders. Cleverly on loan would be a decent bit of business in this division.  Hourihane amd Livermore would be my ideal, creativity and some legs. We have zero presence when Jedinak tires. Getting a real midfield unit in place will make us much better. I am not fussed about defence, but a pacey powerful forward would be ideal.

Sorry mate, but "doesn't hide"?  That's exactly what he does, hence why he has so few touches of the ball during a game and when we are on TV you hardly hear his name mentioned.  That said, I agree there is no need for personal abuse.
