Loftus-Cheek on loan might be a smart move, alongside Jedi and Ange.

It always amazes me with Villa how we have brought in players that play in a certain style and then put them in a side that plays completely differently.

We then wonder why players do not perform.
Good point. We've been doing it you years now.

Not fussed on Cleverley but he was a lot better once Sherwood pushed him further upfield into a more attacking midfield type role. Up to that point he was invisible.

Please can we have a rumour, however small, that we are signing Will Hughes from Derby? Cash plus player deal to include Westwood, Gardner, Kozak, Richards, Cissoko, Bunn and Elphick?

Being better than those two idiots isn't exactly difficult.

Write should be aiming to have the best midfielders in the division if we are going to get promoted. Cleverly might be if he reproduced the form he showed during our brief upsurge under Sherwood. If he played like he did for the rest of his Villa career, he'd be nothing special.

I'd say he'd be one of the best midfielders in the Championship if he signed for us, but let's face it he's probably not going to drop down a league. Also I don't agree with the accepted belief on here that Cleverley was poor in his spell at Villa. I thought he was pretty decent, and when he and Delph left we finally dropped out of the PL. They were two of the very few PL standard players we had at the club and we let them go.

We didn't let Cleverly go, he was never our player.

I thought he was mostly shite and our relegation was nothing to do with his departure.

Lansbury has had enough of bobbing along, bobbing along on the bottom of the league.

Ha Ha!  I got it at least.

They will still include you in the attendance figures aftab.  They include my brother who has not been to a Villa game since 1957.  You don't escape their clutches that easily.

Bugger! In that case I must think of another way to show my disgust if I see the snake on the pitch?

I'd have Delph back in a heart beat.  Good player.  But forget Cleverley.  Terrible, anonymous plodder on midfield.  No drive, no presence, no influence.  Just what we don't want.

I'd have Delph back.  I'd be delighted in fact, he would be fantastic for us.
