SSN reckons we're preparing a bid for Lansbury.
I saw it reported that he'd turned us down and wanted to go to Derby.
Mark Clemmit who does the EFL reports on Final Score said on Saturday that Derby's £2.5 million bid has been turned down. It could be difficult to sort out a bid in the next few days because Forest are in the process of being sold and is expected to be done by Friday.

I've no idea how good Lansbury is but on the small amount of TV highlights that I've seen, I'd pay £2.5 mil plus throw Gardner in (if they'd still have him)  I know there is zero chance of Gardner moving, given it would probably be for a drop in wages but the simple truth is that he is nowhere near good enough.  If we could use him as a lever to sign an improvement then that is all good for me.

He's a horrible, nasty, cheating shit.

I'd like us to sign him.

Forest are in trouble with FFP and this takeover will not help in the short term

£3m and Gardner may seal the deal

Or £2m straight cash.

I doubt we'd give them a midfielder who's just signed a new contract. Someone like Kozak possibly, although I haven't see a great deal of Lansbury so I'm not sure how much he's worth.

We.d "give" them a midfielder.  Getting him to go is another issue mind.

Offering Kozak is an insult to them-If we want to kill a potential deal. offering the other side Kozak should do the trick.  Kozak is nowhere near championship standard.  Even the bottom 3 in the division have better.

I think you could honestly say the same about our two starting central midfielders yesterday.

She's in her 90s surely?

I can't stand "Murder, She Wrote", either, so if we did sign her it would be a new low to which this once great club had sunk.

Leicester could be offloading Ulloa, I'd buy him if he's prepared to drop down a division.

Lansbury was a complete tosser when they came to Villa Park. He'd improve our midfield immediately.

I'm just happy that the areas we have all identified as weaknesses are being looked at first. Goalkeeper has been dodgy and midfield awful. Lansbury is better than anything we have and he will make Jedinak better. It isn't that hard to improve on Bunn. Gollini I'm not convinced about.

John Percy reporting on our £3m bid. He's usually reliable so this could be a go-er. A few forest fans on Twitter are saying it's more £4m and Gardner on loan

Lansbury is no world beater, he's a good player at Championship level. Let's be honest though, compared to Gardner and Westwood it would be like signing Iniesta.
