Good points well made. It's clear 2 midfielders needed one like Jedinak and one with flair.

The lad we were linked with at Barnsley looks good on hightlights. So does Woods is it at Brentford. Bigger issue for me is out wide though. Our midfield would look better with genuine movement out wide, but at the moment we are forcing square pegs out there. The formation is not working either in that we are creating next to nothing. Bruce needs to bite the bullet and either play his prefered 3-5-2 so we have an extra forward up there and use Adomah and Amavi as wing backs, or go 4-4-1-1 and play Grealish behind Kodjia and get in 2 real creative wingers. Width and pace with games in this league each week, and we don't have anywhere near enough of either.

Oh and the Gabby experiment needs to be concluded as a failure and he needs to be moved on.

Amavi being linked with Marseille in French press and 2 unnamed Prem teams ..hope no he is playing well now ...if big offer comes in though might have to sell to fund other areas

Not having a pop, but what has happened with Dr Tone so far that you makes you think we would have to sell to buy?

Marseille have been linked with about 10 of our players; they must have no money, as the transers aren't coming off.

Premier League teams would be more of a worry.

There has been talk of FFP restrictions so presume if we sell Amavi for 10m that will free up a bit of FFP pressure?

There are no FFP restrictions on owners in their first year, and in any case, we would only get a measly fine.

We better not sell Amavi.

Keep our better players and add quality to them. Replace Westwood and Gollini and Elphick for starters. Amavi should stay.

I'd keep Gollini. Reckon he will come good. I'd he leaves, I reckon we'll regret it in a few years.

If the right offer came in for Amavi, I would take it.  I still think he is very suspect defensively even at a lower standard.

Agree with a lot of that Jim.  Regarding Grealish, I think McCormack should really be pushing for that spot as well and I hope to see a bit more from him in the coming months.

Ii think we are just starting to see the real Amavi, he's been one of our best players under Bruce.

Me too...he hasn't really done too much wrong...the odd mis-judgement but he seems to be growing and learning. Reminds me of De Gea when he first started at Utd.
Our lack of goals heaps pressure on us..one mistake and the game is lost / drawn.

I'd say Kodjia and Chester are both "Prem quality" too. Plenty of others could be but have been inconsistent.
