Assuming the 6 strikers are Kod, Gabby, Rudy, Ayew, Kozak and Ross not sure how he figures we only use 1 as 4 of them played in the last game, 2 from the start. And 2 of them bugger off in Jan for a month so need the cover. RHM should be a 7th but i'm assuming it's Kozak and not him that are in the 6 as there seems more chance of me playing for the first team than the Russian.

I hope not.  We have  fine array of striking options now.  We need a new right back and and central midfielder.

Would you throw in one more centre back and a winger into the needs of the window too??

I think Bruce will prioritise a centre back and a keeper - relatively cheap squad players

If we have the chance to get a really good midfielder I think he'd go for it but as I said earlier I think ffp is a limit

Have to disagree Matt.  Central midfield Is the absolute priority for me.

Wouldn't surprise me if McCormack was sold in Jan. Just doesn't seem to fit with Bruce's style of play for some reason. Wonder if Hull fancy a part ex for Hernandez?

In the press conference last week he was asked about transfers and he said we were fine up front with plenty of depth so it would be elswhere we were looking to strengthen (spoiler alter: its midfield) . I didnt hear his 5live interview but possibly it was a similar answer to a similar question? So not getting rid of anybody but no need to strengthen up front?

Given that we don't score enough goals a 'rationalisation' of the strikers doesn't seem to be a bad idea, especially if it helps balance the midfield into the bargain.

I said this in the summer when it became clear we were getting him and I've never changed my mind.  Good player but I could never work out how we were going to fit him into the team without building the team around him and I don't think he's good enough to do that, If we build around 1 player I'd rather we go with Jack.
