To improve the team my priorities would be a central midfielder and then - really oddly given as we've so many - maybe a striker. But I'd focus on the former

But I think Bruce will prioritise a backup keeper and centre back. We've only got three centre backs and two of them are currently carrying injuries. This has only really just occurred to me but I think that has to be the priority?

We need a new right back. Hutton is too limited.

Bacuna would be a better bet at RB than Hutton.  Is there any news on whether De Laet might make it back before the end of the season?

No. I read last week that Bruce expects him to be ready for pre season

I don't think we should buy anyone.

the squad we have assembled still needs to bed in.

And are we buying for another season in the Champ, a PL relegation battle, or a side that can find PL mid table? The players needed are quite different.

I thought that too - caused chaos by running at defenders from deep and played 3 or 4 excellent through passes in those clips

Alex Bruce will no doubt come in as a back up in central defence.

I haven't watched the video, but Jonathan Cafu is the winger not the full-back. It's obviously confusing given that his namesake and fellow countryman was a full-back, and Hutton is frequently referred to as the Scottish Cafu.

centre-half and a central midfielder are an absolute must.

We're buying for the Championship until we get the fuck out of it. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

A mate for Mile Jedinak, keeper and a centre half for me.  If the central midfielder is of quality, we will be a real force to be reckoned with.

It's been pointed out on here that Bruce signed David Meyler for both Sunderland and Hull, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him come here in January.

Along with meyler and hernandez I think continued strategy of bringing in the  'best of the championship ' to improve squad.

Houraine the captain and midfielder at Barnsley - out of contract £ 2mil would do the job
Already had calderwood from brighton and thats a statement so can see as he coached them skalak at brighton.

Both midfield men have been mooted and can see deal for them.
Both have high assists from  this season so  far.

Also bring in Henry Lansbury forest  and Gareth Mclearly reading  and central defender Tom Clarke from Preston all would come and all would add to the squad.

Clarke
Meyler
Houraine
Lansbury
Skalak
Mcleary
Hernandez

3/4 of these be good value all of them great !

I thought Hutton was the Scottish 'Snafu" ???
