Say it quietly in case scouts from other clubs are lurking but theres a midfielder named Carlton Palmer that would improve us no end.

I had a chat with him in Shanghai 2 weeks ago and he is happy teaching PE at a school there.

Hans Krankl and Steve Bull could be decent back up strikers.

Is it too soon for this? Apologies if so.

If not, then can I kick us off with this done deal for Yaya Toure?

I can't think of a single obstacle to us getting this over the line with minimal fuss. The source is impeccable.

Is this even real?

Hope not. Bit too precious for me, especially at £100k a week for a 33 year old

If he was fit and it was a short term pay as you play deal, I'd take Barton
