If you travel by coach you're a frightened little mouse who'd rather not be kettled by the police for several hours, and if you travel independently by train, omnibus, penny farthing or hot air balloon you're right hard.
I may be missing something, but, what is this thing about coaches?Does it really matter how you travel , however local?
I think the writer was inferring that our support is mainly from rural areas and not from Birmingham. They seem to love that idea and in their pea sized brains it somehow gets one over on us.
