This is where the manager needs to earn his money because it's hard to know where to start with that

It's worrying that the flaws with that line up were obvious from before the start

I thought we might well lose today but I was expecting better than that. Really poor, disorganised performance

He appears to learn nothing from one game to the next.

I've come to hate football these past few years. I literally can't be arsed with it anymore.

Since Houllier left I am sick to fucking death of watching Villa and wondering week after week what we actually do at Bodymoor Heath. Do they just play Wembley or 3 and in because it sure as fuck doesn't look they do any work on shape, formation or tactics. 6 years of looking like the 11 players have just met each other.

Why is it when I watch Villa every time the opposition go forward I have zero confidence in keeping it out and when we go forward I know it'll be cut out?

All at sea, clearly the formation isn't working so change it. Get Tish on at half time.  That half was as poor as anything I've seen in the last few years. Fucking awful.

We needed  a tweak to the 4231. Not a completely thrown together 352

Take Elphick off and go to a back four, Jedinakker has done fuck all positive either, it looks like his legs have gone.

This is how bad it is.  We are making Ciaran fcukin Clark look like a cultured Italian centre half.

Imagine spending £30+ million to be worse than Burton, who have probably never even turned over £30m if you counted their entire history. It's appalling waste of resources again.

Keep it simple, sign players that fit a formation you want to play and then play that formation. We look horribly shapeless every single week.

Yup, I'd agree with that.
