It's probably more a case of not being match fit so unlikely to finish the 90.

Great to see Hepburn-Murphy on the bench. I'd love to see him get a chance this season and see what he can do.

344 seems a really odd way to play against a team with 3 in central midfield. Especially when the spare man has the power of Diame

The more I think about it the more I think that's an odd selection for this game. 3 at the back against a lone striker. Two central midfielders against a three.

Hope I'm wrong. Goes without saying the front three are critical to us. Need to both give us options in midfield and really get into their back four

Yes, it was in 1877 against the Royal Signals.

I've genuinely forgotten how it feels to go into a game contemplating a win. It's an alien concept.

Problem with 3 at the back is they only have Gayle up top so 2 of the centre halfs will be marking space. They have a very strong midfield so crucial Amavi and Bacuna push forward so their wide men aren't so influential.

Could easily be 4-4-2 with Amavi left back and Chester at RB, with Bacuna making a 3 in midfield.

I'd assumed adomah and ayew tucked in behind kodjia

Obviously whether it's 5 or 3 at the back is splitting hairs

Agree completely. A high risk the wingbacks get exposed two on one - especially down our left where Yedelin will bomb on. So much will depends on whether ayew and adomah can pin back their fullbacks or get in behind them.

It it could go badly wrong I fear

Unfortunately, I just do not see us getting a result today. I hope I'm wrong but I think it will take at least 3 goals to win this one and I don't know if we're capable of it.

Ayew should have a field day v Dummett

Gestede and Tshibola give us options off the bench

Even with injuries, party goers and those not fully fit, it does seem as if RDM is scrabbling around for a formation. Don't see the point playing three centre backs, Chester aside the other two don't look comfortable in a three

Mess of a team at the moment, look like they've never played this before and barely know each other, which they haven't and they don't. Another game another random toss of a formation to see what happens. They'll make adjustments at half time to capitalise. Absolute bollocks to say these formations are anything other than trying to stumble across something, why the fuck is Adomah playing behind Bacuna, this is clown school stuff. Clown shit Elphick , he looks terrible. Fucking another defeat. I can't take this week after week.

There were about a 100 things he could do with it that wouldn't have resulted in a goal, so he does the only one that coudl.

You know what's funny.. over the summer I told myself maybe a drop into the Championship wouldn't be too bad. It would let us press the reset button and neutralize expectations. That we would be able to learn how to win again and thump on some minnows to get the club's spirits back to where they were 7 or 8 years ago.

All of that has gone out the window. We still have NO CLUE how to win or see out a game. We just keep sinking.

If Tony X had any sense whatsoever, he'd accept he made a mistake & bin RDM after this utterly fecking pathetic start to our season. Westwood bottles the challenge on the edge of the box. We have filled our team with Championship level footballers. Couple that with a lack of any discernible style of play, any meaningful midfield and this is what we get.

I said it a few weeks ago but RDM will not see the Blues match imo.

Second half, get Tish on in the middle. Play 433, Bacuna at RB,  Sub Baker/Chester/Elpick for Cissoko.

How many times have we seen that pansy get dominated by big centre forwards the last few years, yet we don't get the ball anywhere near ours because we play a team that even on paper looks like it wont get a foothold in the game.

If we are going to persist playing that little girl Westwood we need a 3, it's been obvious for about 3 years.

There might be a good reason for that.

Do u think Tony has given him this as last chance ?
No.  I just don't think he's that arsed either way.

He doesn't come across as someoe who lives for the love of the game, and over 3 years his money's the same sacked or sees contract out. In those circum stances I'd be distinctly un-arsed.

That's the most damning criticism I think anyone can throw at him.

We've been wank in midfield for years. Anyone with a passing interest in the PL knew it but did almost nothing to correct it, apparently pinning alll his hopes on a youngster with less than 50 first team appearances at this level and coming off the back of 2 medium term injuries. That's Lambert'esque.

Good comeback in the last 20 minutes. All over them. Before that we were pish but then again if our manager insists on not playing a system, and playing weirdly imbalanced lineups, we'll be struggling. Thankfully although we seemed to have a ridiculous amount of attackers it worked on this occasion.

But RDM seriously needs to start playing some sort of coherant system for 90 minutes. I think Tish showed today that he'll be key.

Surely it just goes to prove we have some properly talented players: but don't have a manager who has a clue about how best to utilize said talent in the context of a team? I'm very relieved we came back to get a point tonight, but it seemed it was in spite of what RDM may - or may not - have been doing all week at BMH.
