Sad to see him go in a way and sad it seems to be ending a bit acrimoniously.
Was brilliant for us in that season he was on fire 3 years ago.

It seems that broken foot(at derby?) was the beginning of the end for him.

Good luck to him while he makes a massive tax free wedge in the desert, but it really is time for him to move on.

No problem with him leaving - He's a shadow of the player he was before injury. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I wonder what would have happened if he hadn't appealed (successfully) his red card against Fulham when we were playing out the season with nothing really to play for.

I did hear of problems between him and Smith, including him refusing to go on in one game but all in all, it's for the best all round, regardless of circumstances.

He was talismanic for us for a while and unplayable on his day, which for a season was nearly every game he featured in. Had a fantastic run where he scored from almost anywhere, had a great turn on him and a lethal finish.

Unfortunately after that injury he lost the ability, or the confidence, to execute those turns at the same speed, and just never found the same goalscoring opportunities as a result. It's a real shame that it happened, partially for him as an individual and to us as a club, as we could have had a gem on our hands otherwise.

As it stands, he's next to useless to us in the PL, except in a scenario where we don't manage to sign a single striker in this window. Assuming that's not the case, have to wish him all the best wherever he goes, and hopefully a kinder league will give him a second wind as a goalscorer and talisman.

He's obviously pissed Smith off.  I hope we are getting a fee for him. See you JK.

At least him going will mean the club’s social media team will stop persistently getting his surname wrong.

He was good for us for a while, I have no ill feeling towards him.

Although that 'play your thigh like a guitar' thing is the worst goal celebration ever.

Thierry Henry called. He said "whassaaaaap"

He is infuriating at times but there were games like Rotherham last year where he came on as a sub and made a big difference. I think Championship is his level. Summed up by occasionally good football, crap goal celebrations, awful dancing and haircuts which really I shouldn’t have any right to be commenting on.

Good luck to him. Was very good for us on his day, unlucky with injuries. Helped the club get back to a team that you could actually like after the horrors of 2015/16.

Very true. Unplayable at Championship level when he fancied it/was fit.

One great season and then two years of injury and bit part play. Good luck to him.

Was excellent and good fun in that first season in the Championship. Which was nice after the season preceding it.

Never really the same after the injury and I don’t think he was ever going to be a player that fitted into a ‘Dean Smith’ team.

Even as a bit part player he was important for us in the championship. Can’t remember who it was against but he turned a game around for us as a sub during our winning streak.
