Typical...Kodjia out of Weds game at Preston. Injured same ankle as in April. ‘We’re hoping for good luck but we don’t know yet" Bruce

No joy this afternoon, except that one moment on the left, but he showed signs vs Fulham that a touch of the swagger and touch was returning.

I suspect automatic will depend on him staying fit and giving us some of those moments of last year.

If it wasn't for bad luck......

He can manufacture things but overall today it was never going to be his kind of game needed to start with Kienan and Kodja upfront

Not good news because he is still working on getting fully fit, has dissapointed since his return.
Must be frustrating to play with because he won’t pass the ball.
If our season is based on Kodija then we may be dissapointed.

His hold up play infuriates me. He controls the ball and then gets too involved with the defender grabbing away at them and forgets about the ball and trying to bring a team mate into play. He will not pass the ball either as we all know.

He still remains our best player though and the only one capable of doing something out of nothing. Hogan as the alternative worries me as he never looks like doing anything when he comes on, although our away performances don't help him.

He’s only our best player when he’s scoring goals and he hasn’t got one in open play this season. He infuriates me with his play because he’s so greedy. If he’s out for a while we should stick Davis up front. At least we hold onto possession better with him in the team.

It's the usual British manager thing "he's had  a serious injury, we have to bring him in carefully"

What that means, he's declared himself fit, I'll select him as a substitute for one game, then fuck it, he's good to go.

I totally agree. Greed is acceptable if he’s scoring. He isn’t so offers not that much really.

That's why I don't think he will be tracked by the top of the premiership
He is like the best player in the school playground who dribbles with great abilty  and never looks up
Which at 27 doesn't look like changing

His reluctance to give anyone else the ball is infuriating.

There was a great example of it today which happened more or less on the half way line. I understand good players want to keep the ball, but he was never going to run half the length of the pitch and score.

His injury may have come at a good time. Davis back up top and Hourihane further forward please Steve
