Have we confirmed what the one match ban is for? It can't be the original offence as that was a straight red which carries a 3 match ban. If it wasn't a straight red then the ban would have been rescinded and downgraded to a yellow card. So what offence has been committed for the one match ban? Alternatively the FA are making it up as they go along with Villa, again.

One match ban apparently.
Translated as "we know the ref got it wrong but don't want to admit it".

That's clearly the case, they've admitted it wasn't a red card offence but don't want to contradict the match officials so they've made something up. As with the Bacuna one I'm pretty fed up of the FA taking the piss with Villa player bans.
