Scored a cracker for Cote D'Ivoire yesterday.

They play him as a central striker, Bristol did, we should.

Not rocket science is it. Kodjia and McCormack down the middle.  Ayew and Grealish wide.  Kodjia is wasted out wide.

Still too luxury for me.....I actually agree with WM in that we can't play Ayew and Grealish in the same team as they both want to take up the same space in attacking midfield.

With Jack's attitude in recent weeks I think he's played his way out again...non existant at Preston.

Maybe we should go back to the 4-3-2-1 we were playing under Sherwood. Kodjia central with McCormack and Ayew just behind him.

The midfield three are crucial to that formation. Delph and cleverly were both capable of pulling out wide and making lots of energetic forward and backward runs. Only Tshibola fits the bill for us at the moment

Agree.  The only time our midfield has looked anything like decent over the last few years was when Sylla and Delph, and then Cleverley and Delph had a decent run of games in midfield.  To be fair to him, Ashley Westwood turned in some decent performances during those spells as well.

Yep, the problem with 4-2-3-1 is that you get overrun in midfield unless you have two physically dominant midfielders, which we don't have (or either your number 10 or a wide player is willing and able to put in a shift while defending), but on the other hand, 4-3-3 leaves you short in attack if none of your midfield three has some skill going forward, which we also don't have in our midfield - well, Tshibola might have it, but injuries mean we haven't been able to evaluate just yet.

What a bloody change to say that about a player, and I agree. Could see him being able to make the step up too.

Kodjia is class! I hope the big guns in the Premier League don't come sniffing? The more goals he scores the more attention he attracts. Must keep him and get Benteke back alongside him!

He's a sexy Mother Hubbard

Adomah is doing well, but I wonder about the prospect of McCormack at the top of a diamond with kodjia and ayew as split strikers

Said at the time that he was hugely preferable to Hernandez.

He's not going to be a Benteke or a Yorke for us, but he could easily be a Dublin or a Carew.

Hernandez isn't even starting for hull at the moment

He does look a lot better than I thought he might be. But seems to do most of his best work wide or off a no 9?
