Not the most exciting or inspiring of signings, but you would have to think, hope, that hes going to be an improvement.

Who were you hoping for, Dani Alves?

We are putting together a team to do a job.  A job way beyond the abilities and integrity of the squad that got 17 points and three wins last season.

I don't know much (actually anything) about the new guy, but if he is good enough to be first choice RB then we are in decent shape in that position.
Bacuna can now be freed up to be any extra body to support the midfield and Hutton remains RB backup.

Still get rid of Agbonlahor , Richards and Lescott, bring in a quality striker and it looks like we have a decent squad taking shape.

He's quick so both he and Amavi should provide plenty of width.

With the solid pairing in the centre and the Jedi shielding they should be given freedom to attack.
This could be worth we need to make the most of Rudy.

I know what you're all thinking.  "What is that watch he's wearing as he stretches the shirt so enthusiastically while looking all the time like Spud from Trainspotting?"  Well, wonder no more, it's a Rolex Daytona with a black dial, and steel and yellow gold bracelet.  A notch below Chester's Patek Philippe, if I'm honest.

Anyway, watch twattery aside, he looks to have exactly the sort of experience we're crying out for, and once Amavi is up to speed we now look to have a highly improved back four.

I have a Rolex Daytona with a black dial to match the Ferrari Daytona on my drive. In my dreams.

I did have a vey good Rolex copy watch as a teenager that I bought in Singapore. It cost me £25. Which back then was pretty much a weeks YTS wages. I then went into the real watch shop and was quite impressed by how good a copy I had. I can't remember now how much the real one was but I think it was £25 multiplied quite a lot of times.

I also have a friend known to Paulie, Nev and Nodge who has a thing for expensive watches. At the last count I believe he had three watches that all cost him four figures. None of them keep the right time so he ends up having to look at his phone to see what time it is!

Big Shamus loves his watches?  I didn't know that, the big hunk a hunk of burning love!

The wife of a friend of mine works for an insurance company.  He tells me that Frank Lampard allegedly has over a hundred watches valued at over £5;000 each.

Should mean the end of Alan Hutton. Better De Laet than never I suppose.

OK that one actually pained me.

I hope he traps a ball better than Bacuna, especially in front of our biggest stand at home.  Control-Holte-De Laet.

Sorry, that's awful.

Well I enjoyed it.
