During their Cup run, Sutton United have come across well in all the coverage I've seen and heard.  Until today.  It's rather rich taking the moral high ground when one of their employees has been tempted by a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, when they themselves obviously took the financial lucrative offer of having SunBets as their shirt sponsor for their big night.

Until today? Did you not notice them taking money off the Sun?

Had they taken money from The Sun prior to the Arsenal game?

The Sun sponsored them for that game only...........Their normal shirt sponsors stood aside for that one game

Which was the point I was trying to make.  In the coverage I caught (mostly on 5Live)when they were playing Wimbledon and Leeds, those interviewed came across as decent and there was nothing to dislike about a club operating on a shoestring, yet working with its local community.  Along come Arsenal and with them came massive national exposure - hence SunBet throwing a lot of money their way.  Once you've taken that decision, it is rather difficult to hold the moral high ground with all the other hoopla surrounding betting and football.

I've no idea but they took it for that game, which is bad enough.

Anyone still want the Huddersfield manager...

Since David Wagner took charge in November 2015, only three Championship teams (Brighton 123, Sheff Wed 108, & Leeds 98) have won more points than Huddersfield (97).

But could you guarantee that we wouldn't accept a "huge" sum of money if they came knocking?

I'd like to see the Sun banned from every football club in the country but unfortunately morality comes way behind money.

Magic of non league. Sutton double prices and screw over the fans that turn up when they are shit, ditch their sponsor who is there when they are shit, and even worse they do it for The Scum. And a bit of a betting scandal thrown in as well.
