Surely to sack Ranieri now, at this stage, they absolutely must have a replacement with the engine ticking-over in the wings. I think they would go more international that the back allies of Brum, though.

As I said in the other thread, they've won 3 league games in 5 months. Very very few managers would survive that regardless of what they've done before.

Oh, wow. See that tackle from Deli Ali . Justifiable immediate red. Very ali, I'm afraid. Hope Jack isn't watching.

Such a same for Spurs, 1-1 and the opposition haven't had a shot on target yet.

Well that sums up the modern mentality. No matter what you've achieved for your club, first barren run, fuck off it's all forgotten. Leicester are  nobodies who somehow, won the league. You deserve more than 20 odd games after that. They've spent most of their existence outside of the top flight.

There's very few managers in the 40 years i've been watching football that wouldn't have been under pressure after that run. It's hardly a modern thing.
I wonder though if something else has happened this week as seems odd to sack him after what was reported as a good performance in the CL. Ultimately we have no idea how Ranieri was, for all we know it was obvious to the board he needed to go.

Why should they stick with him? As he, himself keeps saying, last season was fantasic but its gone, if they stick with him then there is a huge risk of them getting relegated. If you don't adapt to the modern mentality then you get left behind, unfortunately staying in the Premier League is now seen as more important than winning a cup to the majority of teams in it and nobody is willing to gamble on relegation, unless of course you are Villa and then you just give up in January.

SSN reporting the owner and son believe he has lost the team and even his assistant Craig Shakespeare. Do they really think of the consequences, of the consequences? very, very dangerous either way.

Decent comeback by Borussia Moenchengladbach against Fiorentina. They were 3-0 on aggregate and away from and are now 4-3 up.
