I though there was a rule about showing live football between 3-5 on a Saturday afternoon but I've just watched a decent AFCON QF.
Also no idea why Man Utd home vs Wigan is on over Lincoln or Oxford, who could use the money. BBC don't need the viewers for advertising revenue do they.

Shame the BBC are only interested in ratings still, so much for the glamour of possible cup giantkinngs.

Ryton & Crawcrook Albion 1 (0) v (1) 2 Billingham Synthonia

Att 70

Albion, one point from their last twelve games, faced a team that was fitter, stronger and better organised. The Synners were also easily the more skilled but chose to spoil their superiority with random malevolence. Tackles were two-footed, arms were raised and chests were shoved. But the ref did nothing. Even an expletive driven threat of immediate violence delivered straight into the face of a bewildered Albion player produced only a mild finger wagging.

There is a marked difference between the first and second divisions of the Northern League. There is also a chasm between the likes of Billingham and their hapless hosts.

The pitch undulated like a mid Atlantic swell and ex-bus shelters lined the approach to a scran van serving fishfinger sandwiches.

Newport Pagnell 3-2 Sunderland RCA
best game ive seen all season, 2 down at half time 2-2 at 90 mins and the winner in extra time

through to the quarter finals of the FA Vase, I think PWS team might be through as well,
could be an interesting draw come Monday

We are indeed. Won 2-1. Bristol Manor Farm are a level higher than us and top of their league and unbeaten since the opening day of the season and for 80+ minutes we were the better side. 4 or 5 up wouldn't have flattered us. Then they scored and it was holding on for grim death for the rest of the game. Still, we won in front of 1,487 and into the QF. We really need a home draw on Monday. Draw will be streamed live on the FA website.

And we had our dinosaur confiscated.

Zola's reign of terror continues.  We'll be commissioning a statue of him at this rate.

Oxford's thrashing of Newcastle means our away game there goes ahead on Mon 20th Feb. Going to be a busy month.

Away win there.

well done, we had 800 paying and kids were free at ours which I believe is a record attendance
like you Sunderland play in a higher level league, so it was a great result

Pretty sure they are the same level as you, which is 1 higher than we are. I think only us and Southall, who play tomorrow, are the only sides left from our level. Everyone else is yours, although different regions are stronger than others, so everyone wants to avoid South Shields!

can't say I'm itk on the levels of non league football, I do know that the north east sides have got a good record in the vase and always take it seriously
we also don't want South Shields we'd rather let you take them

Exmoor apparently are ranked the lowest so they'll do for us

Saw their first game in the Vase against my local side Daventry.  Didn't look that good then but have done well to get so far. Hope they get a decent draw. Wasn't the crowd about 700-800 today?

Of course Liverpool defeat means they are stuck at 7 wins just like us. Next season we make that 8.
Although Arsenal winning means Wenger could equal our seven himself this year.
He's never won the League Cup though, failure.
