Indeed. But as 7 or 8 of the players we face didn't win tonight it won't really fill them with confidence.

Duffy continues his interesting start to the season as he scores the winner tonight. For his own side for once, in front a massive 3,448.

Fair comment, but success in a tight knit squad is very contagious.
Ps
COME ON Northampton, come on Carlisle!

There's only 3 or 4 playing tonight who played against Newcastle so extra time won't make a massive difference as most won't play against us either. And I doubt their reserves beating the might of Scunthorpe, assuming they do, is going to have them full of confidence for our visit.

Hadn't realised they had their reserves out - I wouldn't know any of their players from Adam, if I'm honest. Hopefully the only ones I'll be familiar with by Saturday night are the one who scores four own goals, the one who underhits the backpass to gift Ayew his hat-trick and the goalie who gets caught in the net picking the ball out for the tenth time.

Smethwick FC can now happily concentrate on Premier League survival and being the pride of The Midlands.

I only know by checking the line-ups on the Beeb site. Apart from Kodjia i'd have struggled to name any of their players.

I hope he doesn't go. I want him to stay there forever. Having Pulis as manager is absolutely the worst thing I could wish on any rival fan. I only wish we could clone him and send another one to the Sty. Maybe one to Stretford too.

No way. He may be bad, but he's too good for Small Heath. They'd love him - they're not as pretentious as those twats down the Albion.

You're probably right. I suppose it's especially painful for the Boggies because they've got such a long history of watching Total Tiki-Taka Football of a 1970s Brazil style. I mean, who could ever forget the magic of Derek Statham and Barry Cowdrill? They ay used to this. Blose would embrace his unmitigated shite because it would represent an improvement.

I don't know why but the very mention of Barry Cowdrill amused me. Like when they play the game 'Culverhouse' on Talksport. For some reason the first name that came into my head as a response was 'Nicky Cross'.

Cheltenham kicked the shit out of Newcastle last night. 3 of them injured including Dwight Gayle. Shame.
