It looks bloody awful. It's miles from the pitch!

They've christened it anyway by kicking off outside the away end.

Those ruddy cheeked cockney scamps.

BBC indulging in a Neymar wankathon. "You couldn't write this script because if you had no one would have believed you." Really? No one could ave predicted that the 5th penalty taker would score the winning penalty?

Saw a bit of that, whoever the commentator was obviously had a list of tired old cliches he had to trot out and wasn't in the stadium. Any idea who it was, he was terrible.

It was Alistair Mann, the BBC's go-to man for the 0-0 draw at the end of MOTD.  A truly awful commentator, he actually wees cliches.  I encountered him in the course of my work nearly twenty years ago, when he was a truly awful sports reporter for Granada TV.  I believe he's a lovely man who adores kittens and does lots of good work for children's charities, and it was just a total accident that he consistently came across as an exceptionally vain and arrogant twat.

Two greater wankers you will not find.

It's a shame that Karren isn't in the middle then that picture below it would look brilliant :) and as you say 2 greater wankers you will not find.

Did they? I heard they were too busy fight among themselves. Apparently Brady won't allow anybody to stand in their new stadium.

That doesn't sound especially terrifying, to be honest.

I don't really know where to post this but here is as good as anywhere. Just to say (as if we need reminding) that Newcastle fans are deluded wankers. I work with a load and they are all now giving it the guaranteed top of the league, looking forward to being back in the PL routine. Before the season they all, every last one of them, had Newcastle top in their preseason predictions. I know these aren't necessarily unreasonable things, but you would think one pessimistic fan amongst them would pick them second. Nope - they all, to a man or woman, have that big fish/small pond / we deserve to be in better company attitude.

I also know this isn't news but a reminder about what an utterly obnoxious bunch of ****** they are. That's it.

Especially given their appalling away record of recent seasons.

They talk as though their relegation was an inexplicable abberation, like Barcelona going down or something, when it is their second one in less than a decade and they survived by the skin of their teeth the season before last.

Regardless of all theft Brazil fully deserved to win the gold medal.

Bristol City into extra time in the cup. Excellent. Our decision to throw that silly Luton game may yet pay off...

There's only 3 or 4 playing tonight who played against Newcastle so extra time won't make a massive difference as most won't play against us either. And I doubt their reserves beating the might of Scunthorpe, assuming they do, is going to have them full of confidence for our visit.

There is no substitute for winning games, whatever anybody may say.
