He has looked every inch the captain that we thought we had purchased over the last 2 games
Fair play to him

I'll be pleased when Terry is fit again, but an improved Elphick on stand by is a lot more comforting.

Agreed - is a captain and displaying the authority required + the passion

Quite what happened to him last season is still a mystery as he started the season well.  I can't remember seeing a player visibly lose form and confidence so quickly though.

Bruce has not treated him well either. Fair play for the last two performances when the only reason you are playing is because Whelan has the flu and the calamitous Jedinak (in defence) would have been playing otherwise. It can't be great to go from captain to behind Samba and an old midfielder in the central defence pecking order.

Living down hear a lot of Bournemouth fans said he would be 8\10 every week. He has been absolutely awful until the last few games. Very happy for him and hopefully he has set the standard.
I don't see this as how he began. When he first arrived he looked the part alongside Chester. He somehow went from bad to worse as if his confidence went. Deserves a run on current form along with our Brazilian left back.

I do wonder if there may be 1 or 2 forced sales this window to improve our FFP situation or to fund a bid to make Johnstone permanent. I could see Elphick and Lansbury in that category, because like Nathan Baker they have a value and that Bruce rates behind the likes of Samba and Whelan, which to me, is crazy.

If we sell Elphick in Jan we are going down a very stupid route.  Samba is made of glass, and Terry at 37 will inevitably pick up knocks. Elphick could be crucial. I would venture we may well not have got 6 points from the last 2 without him. Loved his passion at the final whistle of the last 2 games too.

For the sake of a million or two, it's not worth a sale. He would fetch very little but has proved he can come in and do a job if needed.

Agreed it would be mental to sell him. His form is a massive bonus and good luck to him.

I would keep him he's proving a point that he's still a good player long may it continue.

I couldn't care less.  Whatever works for him is fine by me.
