The same huge problems will still be there though with the same set of players, it wasn't a one off, we've been consistently terrible for years. There's no voice in the middle and no focus point to the attack. How are we going about scoring our goals? What's the game plan? What are our strengths to exploit? We have no idea and haven't had one for over 12 months. Too many players who are nothing players. We are shite and deep down we all know we are.Do we?I, since 1973 when Aston Villa took hold of me, have never seen a worse set up from top to bottom. It may be my age, but name me one player or one aspect of the club that instills any hope for a return to the glory years? We are definitely shitter than 87-88.

Also, maybe don't hope for a return to "the glory years" just yet. Promotion would be great for starters. Actually, just some steady progress would be good. And giving the new regime more than a few weeks would be reasonable.
You can think what you like but spare us the "deep down we all know we are" bollocks.

How many did we lose by?

On another thing, Villa are so much worse than the mighty Newcastle. Are we really?
Glad I did not go. I was going to drive over via Dover
