Friendly v Bristol Rovers (A) - 7.45pm Wednesday July 20 - That'll do nicely  :)

Friendly v Middlesbrough (H) - 3pm Saturday July 30 - You have got to be kidding me  ::)
MIDDLESBROUGH is somebody having a fucking laugh? They have arranged a friendly against a team that has bypassed us into the Premier league. This is just rubbing our noses into the dirt. Who the fucking hell chose this game? The total muppetry seems to be continuing at Villa Park. You just couldn't make it up.

I blame the manager

Boro at home. Depressing but that's where we are at the moment. Might be a bit of a gauge as to where we are.

Would be a confidence boost if we could beat one of the best sides in the Championship this year though I suppose.

But still depressing in a footy sense.

How did the 50,000 Hereford fans manage to all get in then?

Boro? An early chance to test how good we are. I reckon we'll beat them. It's not the glamour tie we might want but a sensible selection.

Boro at home? Hells bells, that it should come to this. At least we can practice our booing when Downing runs out.

I couldn't care less who we play in the preseason friendlies.  The most important thing is that they are good preparation for next season.

This is the day the reality of relegation hit home, Middlesbrough at home in a friendly. Middlesbrough ffs. Embarrassing.

You're right though it's the reality kicking in. Let's just make sure it's just a one-off and we're back where we belong this time next year.
If only we could make sure. It's the club who can do something about it not the fans. Us fans are Premier league standard but the people running the show are clueless. Still now we know our place we can challenge  Middlesbrough as plucky underdogs and maybe just maybe get a draw which we can celebrate against our illustrious Premier league opponents.

It's depressing in every sense. We usually go to little old Walsall for our players to stretch their legs against players who are grateful to play against the Midlands top dogs. Now we have Boro coming to little old Villa. Hope our players aren't too starstruck when they meet our illustrious Premier league opponents.

Boro will turn up in there new kit, showing the Premier League badge on the sleeve, ours will show the Championship badge

It does make you wonder where it all went wrong?

Also are we entered into the 1st round of the league Cup?
