I'll probably do the weekend in Brittany (although it's a pity it's not at Nantes' own ground), and maybe pop to Telford or Stourport but definitely won't bother with the Villa Park one.

Friendly v Bristol Rovers (A) - 7.45pm Wednesday July 20 - That'll do nicely  :)

Friendly v Middlesbrough (H) - 3pm Saturday July 30 - You have got to be kidding me  ::)
MIDDLESBROUGH is somebody having a fucking laugh? They have arranged a friendly against a team that has bypassed us into the Premier league. This is just rubbing our noses into the dirt. Who the fucking hell chose this game? The total muppetry seems to be continuing at Villa Park. You just couldn't make it up.

Dunno if it matters that much but it seems to make sense for us to play a team that has just left the division we're about to join. Same for them I suppose... Glad they haven't arranged a 'glamour' tie against Man Utd or Arsenal or summat. Now that would have been a tad embarrassing.

Villa website says the Stade Leo Lagrange in Saint Nazaire is the home of Racing Besancon, but it can't be - they're on the other side of France near the Swiss border.
Saint Nazaire is just to the west of Nantes at the mouth of the Loire. Bournemouth played Nantes there last summer. Small ground that holds around 7,000.

The U-21 game at Tamworth will be the first game played on the their new 3G pitch fact fans. (If it's finished by then of course).

I might go to Biggleswade, never been there.

I'd rather play Middlesbrough who I haven't seen for a while then play some bunch who we've already lost to ten times this decade.

Will the game be covered by the ST, does anyone know?

Anyone know what the A442's like on a Saturday afternoon in the summer? With the Telford game finishing at 1.45 and Stourport a 3pm kick-off, both are do-able in theory.

You'd have to be hoping for a clear road and easy parking.

When you come towards Kidderminster on the A442 if you turn right just past the Bellmans Cross pub towards Trimpley you can miss out Kidderminster & go back way into Stourport missing most the town centre traffic.
Carparking will be ridiculous though

I'm just trying to work out how to get to Stourport by public transport. Doesn't look particularly easy.

**EDIT**
Got it, train to Kiddy and Bus 3 to Stourport goes past the ground, marvellous, might do that one.

This is the day the reality of relegation hit home, Middlesbrough at home in a friendly. Middlesbrough ffs. Embarrassing.

You're right though it's the reality kicking in. Let's just make sure it's just a one-off and we're back where we belong this time next year.
