We really are there for the taking, still I read, but we will be ok when we are sold, when the new manager comes in, when we get rid of the dross, but we just sleepwalk to the next disaster, 11 games on the run without a win, but dont worry we will sort it out during the summer, just like we did last year hey guys.
We have been brow beaten into believing jam tomorrow, but just eat the bird shit sandwiches today, this is never going to stop until that useless man child has none and I mean no association with this club, I would tear down everything he has done including the Holte pub, so we can never try to reinvent and revise his total destruction of Aston Villa. Lerner Fuck off.

At a time when I've become numb to Villa results I was gutted after yesterday's game. For me   the loss was contrived by Black with his substitutions and lack of tactical awareness. Sinclair for gana in the 88minute when we're down to 10 men, REALLY????? In the same way the fans don't believe in some of the players eg bacuna and lescott, I feel the players don't believe in each other and black hence the late collapse yesterday and with just 2 competitive games to go until our championship campaign starts my hopes for next season are fading fast.
I don't go along with the thought that some of the players tried and cared yesterday. Too little too late! It should be a given when they sign the dotted line of their contracts that effort, commitment, professionalism and pride should be the very least we can expect in every game not just game 36 of a 38 game season.

You had hopes for next season? Where did you find this 'optimism' thing?

I thought we were the better team for 85 minutes but Deeney's two goals just summed up the whole season really.  At 2-1, it all seemed too good to be true.

Not seen Cissokho's red card back yet but at the time I thought he won the ball.

Oh, and to the absolute fucking twat who started throwing coins at the Watford fans after the 3rd goal and didn't like it when I had a go at him, then I hope you're proud of yourself. Utter arsehole.

It was a red card Clamps. As clear as day. He knew exactly what he was doing when the ball came loose after the initial challenge. Bloody buffoon.

Good on you for having a word with that idiot too.

I've seen it again now and yes, he can't have too many complaints, although he did win the initial ball.

There did seem a difference in the players yesterday. They looked more up for it than they have and even the goals were celebrated unlike last week. I wonder if they know something is in the pipeline. Just throwing it out there.

I think the players do know something. That if they perform a Premier League side might buy them.

The brave prick. Hopefully cctv will catch him and well done Clampy for having a word. Anyway, sigh, but I'm glad I felt gutted as it shows there's some emotion still there. Poor keeping it good free-kick for the first? Can't decide. Second , great ball in but how did Deeney (Even sounds like a Nose surname) get free. The third was put away well but there was an element of huge good fortune how it came back to him perfectly.

We played some decent stuff but again easily caught out by one ball that ended with for Cissokho hopefully playing his last game. At that stage we were looking the most likely to score.

I actually thought the Sinclair sub made sense. 10 men, replacing an injured player, and we were defending deeper and deeper. We needed someone to get hold of the ball and run with it. A mixture of panic, nerves, poor defending, and misfortune did for us.

I don't normally post but I'd like to echo Frank's words about the atmosphere in the away end yesterday. It was the most fun I have had at a Villa game for ages and the way we clapped off the team at the end was great.  Deserved or not,  I hated the abuse Lescott got at the Southampton game, and I was pleased to see him clap us at the end, I'm not sure I would have done that in his position. They worked hard yesterday, of course they should have done this months ago, but they didn't let us down and there aren't many times you can say that recently.

I live locally so went with some Watford fans and we had a few pints in the horrible Wetherspoons on the high street. Our lot did us proud singing constantly for 2 hours before the game, and we sung almost continually throughout the game. Our fans are great.

Thanks.I don't get easily annoyed but he was just an absolute twat, at one point climbing over chairs to get nearer to their fans. A couple of mates had to stand in between us both at one point to calm it down. There's always one I suppose.

I'd forgot to mention Bunn for the free kick.  I saw it again this morning and he's positioning could have been better.

Nothing to do with yesterday but the one major positive of the season is that we didn't have Adebayor in the squad. Just imagine the trouble Agbonlahor Richards and Adebayor would have caused between them.

Perhaps we should be grateful for small mercies. We have very little to be positive about except perhaps Jordan Ayew.

Agree with frank and Nicky's comments - there was a much better showing from the players and the fans responded by being more supportive yesterday...a rare positive Villa performance...until the last 5 minutes...snatching defeat from the jaws of victory! You couldn't make it up could you?
Thought we played well generally except for Bunn for their free kick, marking for their second and Gestede's blast over the bar into row Z.
Gana, Toner (in spite of his miss), Clark, Hutton, Westwood, Ayew all had decent games. Bringing Sinclair on was WRONG...Veretout was the obvious choice...but FFS how does Bacuna get into any team - contributed almost zero and even that was shite.
Deeney! Why?
A lot of pain at the end, when we had at last shown something resembling spirit and got ourselves into a winning position.
nb: thought Watford fans were the most passive I had ever witnessed until their rousing cheers and singing after they had scored their third in the 95th minute...until then, nothing! Twats!
and...the "concourse" in the away end - just a bit of a corridor with toilets!
To think that THEY are sitting comfy mid-table and WE are.......?
