If we were an animal we would be put out of our misery. The fabric of the football and coaching side of our club has just disintegrated. The only hope between now and the end of the season is that we do not have any record breaking thrashing coming our way. Aston villa the football club has fallen apart.

It's not just relegation, our problems are way deeper than that.

It feels almost unique to have a club that's not only be relegated but to be so completely gutted of all pride, organization, effort, professionalism, you know the basics that every organized sporting team, professional or not, should have as a bare minimum. We don't appear to have any of it.

A few weeks ago I looked at the Championship, looked at the sides in the top 8 and thought we'd be a shoe in for a promotion challenge. Now I'm looking at this squad and thinking the damage is irreparable. The pretty much all need to go, for their own sakes as much as ours. How does a club do that? How does a club with such obvious cultural, deep rooted chronic problems turn it around in a few months?

I thought a few months back we'd go down after Watford at home. I knew it after Norwich away. At the time though I thought it almost like the relegation we had to have so the revival could begin.  Now I'm worrying that despite the long overdue boardroom changes we're in for a tough time getting back.

There's just too much to do, we're in an almighty mess.

This team will not be good enough to get us back up. We have to rid ourselves of as many of the current squad as is financially possible. Good luck to whoever gets the managers job. Your most definitely gonna need it.

Could not believe Richardson and Bacuna were starting today. The crowd were stunned and it immediately created a negative atmosphere. Well done Black - fucking idiot!
I contemplated not leaving the Tavern after I saw the team selection. Absolutely abysmal

Ashamed to say it was my first visit since Boxing Day. To watch the utter fuckwittery live is something else entirely. TV really doesn't do it justice.

The players have given up you can clearly see that. It had the pace of a pre-season match and there was some very unprofessional things going on out there

Out of that starting 11 I think only Richardson is out of contract in June. They're going to have a right game shifting some of that lot.

The relationship is currently broken between the fans and players as well. Only Grealish and Clark applauded the fans at the end. Ayew and Gueye practically ran off the pitch. I honestly wouldn't be sad to see any of that squad go.

Gestede at least gives us a focal point and given that he'll be back at his level next year, there might be something to work with. Get some pace around him and sign a couple of dynamic midfielders and you never know.

But ever being competitive in the top league again seems light years away.

Surely swearing at customers must be some form of gross misconduct, on the basis of which his contract could be immediately terminated?

Does anyone recall any of the players swearing at customers?  Hopefully.

I think Glen Hoddle hit the nail on the head last weekend in his post match comments. What you see on the pitch is the result of the work they do on the training ground Mon-Fri. I can only begin to guess what sort of shambles is happening at Bodymoor Heath. They're not all bad players, get rid of the rotten apples & with proper organisation we could turn things around next season.

Having said that, I think we're in a bigger mess than we were in 1987 and I don't see the likes of Graham Taylor out there.

My first match at HQ for a number of months. Some observations: I don't like the booing/jeering of Bacuna/Guzan before they've had a chance to do anything wrong. Yes I know the players have been pathetic but it's no wonder they can't do anything right if they're getting shit from the get go........
These tossers, amongst most others have taken the piss since August.
They have NO credit in the bank.
It is no wonder they are being ripped apart, and rightly so.

I'm not fan of booing our players either, however the way that this collective bunch of arseholes have gone about their work this season, the gloves are off. They've taken the piss out of the managers and the fans all season and they need to be told. If they don't like it then tough shit.

I am a fan of booing the players - these wankers need to be told what we think of them. I have heard the "it will put them off" argument but that is bollox as they were shite before we booed them and I have seen no change whatsoever since. I will boo whoever I bloody want at the moment having paid thousands of pound£ for the privelige and have subsequently had to watch this rubbish for years. It is the only fun I have now at VP apart from singing until my throat hurts about loving Villa until I die. These players are oafs of the first order and should not be allowed onto the turf at VP, I hate them

totally agree mate

the fans have shown the patience of saints this season

and the one before that and the one before that

the massive worry for me is that ayew, gana and amavi will fuck off, we are left with the shit who we cant shift and even if they were good enough to get us back up they would all have to be got rid of as they arent up to the pl

i really fear for us

The appointment of the Manager is so crucial. They so need to get it right.

Black should be shown the door tomorrow with the poor fuckers getting their P45's from the staff.
He was nothing short of a surrender monkey yesterday.

I agree Oz villa. It will be a surprise if we suddenly turn things around in August and become a regularly winning club after 5 years of being a total embarrassment. The losing culture is engrained - we're not viewed as a big club anymore and are expected to lose every game regardless of the opposition. I'm not getting my hopes up about promotion

Hopefully that's why their taking their time. One more piss poor appointment and we will be going down the plughole. The future of Aston Villa is at stake here.

Yep I think we are in for at least 3 years in the championship before we return. If we get this next appointment wrong who knows we might fall further. Leicester are showing us that miracles can happen but I just can't see us going from 16 points this year to 90 next.
