Yep it's tickets sold rather than amount through the turnstiles. I think a lot of ST holders gave today a miss.

I reckon so PWS. I'd love to know what the real attendance was.

according to Doug it was 13,499.

Probably way more accurate than the announced figure today!

My first match at HQ for a number of months. Some observations: I don't like the booing/jeering of Bacuna/Guzan before they've had a chance to do anything wrong. Yes I know the players have been pathetic but it's no wonder they can't do anything right if they're getting shit from the get go........
These tossers, amongst most others have taken the piss since August.
They have NO credit in the bank.
It is no wonder they are being ripped apart, and rightly so.

I'm not fan of booing our players either, however the way that this collective bunch of arseholes have gone about their work this season, the gloves are off. They've taken the piss out of the managers and the fans all season and they need to be told. If they don't like it then tough shit.

It seems that the manager's job these days consists almost entirely of giving his opposite number a meaningful handshake after yet another defeat. There can't have been too much time spent on selecting the team.

The inclusion of Lyden was the only bright spot, and that should have happened weeks ago. We're not going to have too much money to throw around in the summer and a fair proportion of the current set of senior players aren't going to get us back up so it makes sense to grant what are essentially free opportunities to emerging youngsters.

As for the game, bollocks to it. We put out 6 or 7 players who should not be playing at this level and certainly not on the same team. The frightening thing is that there are at least as many again on the sidelines who are equally out of their depth.

A useful start from Lyden aside, the only real positives were that Ayew is our best player, Adama has real presence and at least Bacuna didn't find defeat hilariously funny.

Grealish really needs a bit of a makeover and relaunch, preferably starting with a haircut that doesn't make him look like a oversized bog brush.

Like Brian said earlier, it's four months until the start of the Championship season. I'm used to seeing youth and reserve dominate pre-season squads, but we should realise the reality that a lot of them will be stepping up to first team status sooner rather than later. For that reason alone, some of them ought to have been getting starts.

I am a fan of booing the players - these wankers need to be told what we think of them. I have heard the "it will put them off" argument but that is bollox as they were shite before we booed them and I have seen no change whatsoever since. I will boo whoever I bloody want at the moment having paid thousands of pound£ for the privelige and have subsequently had to watch this rubbish for years. It is the only fun I have now at VP apart from singing until my throat hurts about loving Villa until I die. These players are oafs of the first order and should not be allowed onto the turf at VP, I hate them

Hopefully those boo'd will be asking to leave at the end of the season. The relationship is completely broken. No way back.

I just can't see a big turn around in the chumps. The losing culture and toxic atmosphere is entrenched.

Most of our squad are scum...sub human scum.

I'm as pissed off as everyone but I think that's a little over the top. I'd put the type of people who murder a young child into that category, not a professional footballer taking the piss.

Up until the Man City game in the FA Cup, I thought we'd made a game of most matches, but when the club gave up, the players & manager quickly followed.

For what it's worth practically all our problems stem from who or how the club has been run for the past 5 years. Where we are now would have happened eventually, as those responsible for making the decisions were so obviously out of their depth.

Eric Black can join the long list of people I'd happily fuck off at the end of the season. At least he's one we'll manage to get shot of.

I didn't see this comment mate~~~ started another thread about the perpetual
"Teflon- Caretaker" that is Eric.

Glad at least someone agrees with me about this ex-nose.

Nice of Tony Parkes to tell us to 'fcuk off' too.

What happened there mate?

There were lots of comments from behind the dug-out at the half-time whistle "rubbish" "pathetic" "crap" etc which he responded with the first one, then when the bench came out for the second half and they got a load more he told us again. If he was that aggressive towards the players, as opposed to the fans, then the players might have a bit more fight about them.

Is there any other line of business in which you can tell your customers to fuck off and keep your job ?

Only Villa. We had it with Culverhouse and with Lambert too. Both on separate occasions doing the same thing. Not sure a member of the ticket office staff would get away with telling an irate customer to fcuk off...

Could you report it to the club? There's a disgraceful attitude at Villa that really has to be stamped out.

There is, isn't there. Appalling from players and staff alike. Morons.

You can say that again.  Looks like he's been seeking diet advice from Agbonlahor.
