How on earth is Adama not at least on the bench as an option? Same old failings.

Different manager, same old shite

With these players the manager is irrelevant.

Exactly.

I don't know what sort of significantly different line up people expect Black to pick.

I just can't fathom how playing 4-3-3 with no width is going to work with Gestede in the team.

I'd try something like this:

Hutton Okore Clark Cissokho
Gil Gana Veretout Sinclair
Ayew Gestede

Just keep it tight in the middle, bang it out wide, then launch crosses for Gestede.

The reaction to that line up would be exactly the same. There's no side Black could have picked short of throwing in Grealish, Traore and bunch of kids that people wouldn't have made those comments.

Ayew competes well but he's about as prolific as Heskey at this stage of his career. Why they thought he could replace Benteke is anyone's guess

more a replacement for Flabby or Weimann, better than both of those to be fair

Oh i knows he's better than our other options, just he isn't good enough either. Makes you wonder if they'd saved the Ayew and Gestade money and spent it on a 15m striker instead. Mind you, that would still have left the defence. And midfield.

We concede right at the death of HT and right at the start. It's nothing to do with managers, it's just the players having mental weakness and being fucking shit.
