I stayed till the very end today ....as always. Two things pleased me very much. First the reaction of our fans in applauding Benteke on to the pitch despite the carnage that was going on in front of them and second the absolute support for the club specially from the Holte Enders  that started in the 80th minute and carried on till the end. At one stage Liverpool supporters joined in spinning their scarfs copying the Holte end. Well done to all of you ..well done indeed and that is why this great Club will never die. It is that  and the fact that 40K+ used to turn up for Third Division games  is what I love and will always hold close to my heart. Fuck players/Managers/Owners.

Usual shit on the radio coming home - French players, no PL experience, signed by transfer committee etc. Half the callers had only listened on WM, not even seen it on telly. Of course Rego never contradicted them. Well, as far as I can see, only 3 of the 14 who were on the pitch had anything less than extensive PL experience before season started ( one was young Lyden and others were Gana and Veretout, 2 of the 'least worst' players today).Think these 2 would be the only 2 selected by transfer committee too as Lescott and Richards were clearly wanted by Sherwood. The rest were here under Lambert or before. Again the 'French players' were the 2 above and Cissokho, who was also not the worst on view. Bacuna's performance was the most cowardly I've seen from a Villa player, Westwood was physically weak again and Gabby might as well have been finishing his breakfast. But why let facts get in the way of prejudiced bollocks that is consistently peddled by the punditocracy?

With that being our worst home result since 1935, have we now broken every single shit record over the last couple of years?
There can't be many more bad ones left, can there?

least amount of goals scored in a season seems a good (or very bad) shout

I can only concur with everyone else on here in that in 55 years supporting villa that's the most embarrassing I've ever felt.
Those gutless spineless wonders do not deserve to wear the shirt of this once famous club but the blame is squarely at Lerners door he should be ashamed that he is the worst custodian in our clubs history bar none, even worse than the board of 68.
I said on here before villa fans have shown such restraint but now I think a boycott of the remaining games is the only way we can send a message that we have had enough.

In all seriousness, he is worse than the board of 68. A shameful and disgusting position to find himself in. He should now be looking to sell his interest in Our Club as soon as possible whatever the financial cost to himself. In the interim, he should stay as far away from Our Club as possible. There is no reason for him ever to personally visit Villa Park again. Its Our Club not his, he just legally owns it in the business sense. If he is ever so misguided as to pay a visit I would hope anybody seeing him who truly loves Our Club will tell him in no uncertain terms to `Go Away`.

The club is his, and things are going to get worse before they get better.

I've said it before but what Lerner has done to our club over the last 6 seasons actually feels like sabotage. Everything at the club has been deliberately downgraded in that time which has seen us serve up the worst Villa team I've ever seen that has gone on to smash every shitty record the club the club has ever had the misfortune to set in more than 140 years of history, and let's face it, it's going to get worse. I hate the man for what he's done to Villa, and I don't care if that sounds over the top.

I don't think it's deliberate but I know what you mean. It takes skill to relegate this club. It's only going to be the second time in 40 odd years that it's happened and the last time was out of one morons spite and hubris. This one is out of neglect though, as deliberate sabotage would be far too much active involvement for Lerner.

Inexcusable from the players, they were either not arsed, not good enough or a combination of both today

I'm sure there'll be more bullshit on OS from them telling us how they are going to try and put things right but heard all that after the Wycombe game - not one of them has any professional pride to put in an utterly gutless performance like that today.

Shame on the fucking lot of them

We've spent the last 6 seasons selling our best players and replacing them with players out of their depth in the PL. A blind man could tell you it was a recipe for disaster, and here we are today battered and bruised and finally facing relegation. And yeah it feels deliberate and it feels like sabotage.

Ads - sorry to disagree but neglect is not a  skill.  This has been coming for the past 5 years.

I think the term "Wanton Neglect "maybe appropriate.
