I suppose we were spared a goal from Benteke. Liverpool fans will be furious about that.

I ain't got anything to add. It's been said by everyone else. What a thoroughly miserable state of affairs.

Carragher has just said SSN that no other Premier League Manager would want a single player from Villa's Squad...I have said this all season... to a man not one of our players would get in an opposition eleven. Scandalous!

He can get fucked quite frankly

The plot to escape relegation thread 2016, needs to be changed to The plot to escape relegation thread 2017.

Fair play for being convinced we're staying up this season.

We've spent the last 6 seasons selling our best players and replacing them with players out of their depth in the PL. A blind man could tell you it was a recipe for disaster, and here we are today battered and bruised and finally facing relegation. And yeah it feels deliberate and it feels like sabotage.

It's not deliberate. Careless maybe but not deliberate.

I too was flu'd up and watched the game on sky, I dozed off at half time. Woke up half hour later 6-0 down. Though I was tripping on Day Nurse.

At 3-0 I went for a piss, came out it was 4-0 decided enough was enough and went home. Utter embarrassment the lack of effort was frightening. Our players care more about lifestyle than our club and that makes me sick to my stomach. Fuck the lot of you!!! I can't be arsed to keep going over this. We've said it all before it does not change one bit. The death of Aston Villa is nearly over just 12 more games of hell

Carragher was reacting to what he saw on the pitch today. In that context he was correct.

I was thinking only the other day that the only reason we hadn't taken a beating this season was because we offered so little threat teams just kind of packed up and saved their energy once they got ahead.

Well, today the opposition took the bait.

I wholeheartedly agree with what Carragher said. Every word. We are a total and utter embarrassment of a club.
