I wonder how far we'll drop before things bottom out?

That to me looks like a team that will keep on dropping.

A shoeing against a bag of shit team away before the season ends. I think the low point will come in the summer when we see the kind of players we are targeting and have a few remaining faces leave and look at the starting 11 we are going to put out, it will be depressing. Another season of Lerner, his hand picked morons, bull shit sales patter and a Fox appointed idiot of a manager telling us we cant compete with the likes of Preston.

My worst fear 😱. I fully anticipated the austerity lite employed to now will be replaced with austerity max when we drop. The detached trust fund prick will let his appointed lunatics run riot, and the car crash we're watching unfold now that appears to be a three car shunt, will become apparent as a 50  car pile up. We're fucked the silver spoon man child is bored and will let us rot. I've never really wished anyone ill but my feelings toward the trust fund wanker are leaning that way. For shame. Damn them all.

It was frighteningly obvious from the start we were going to get a hiding today.

And this against a very mediocre Liverpool side.

Where were you sitting?

Amavi, gueye, ayew, lescott and veretout have looked good in infrequent patches this year. 4 will be off, Lescott is about 47, and we'll be stuck with the rest. How can we rebuild from that?

We'll need to spend every penny of the parachute money on the best Championship players who missed out on Promotion this year.  And hope for the best.
The solution, which should be being worked on behind the scenes as of now, is to look at all the players in the Championship who are obviously propping up teams that fancy their chances at promotion but won't get there, and add them to a great striker that you break the budget for. The one area we can't afford to skimp is up top, because we'll have no chance at survival in that division, let alone promotion.

Great minds, curiousorange ...

Yeah, I saw that just after I posted. I won't mind operating on a Championship budget if we use it wisely. But look at some of the fees players are going for in the Championship now. We'll have to spend fifty million before we even think about competing at the top end.

The pity from the Liverpool fans was also noticeable. That is how bad it is.

Stop all the clocks cut off the telephone ,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum,
Bring out the coffin, Let the mourners come.

I agree with all that Legion. At what point can you start to blame Garde though?
He looked absolutely clueless today.

Who, exactly, is telling these players to hang onto the ball for as long as possible? Gueye did it loads last week, but virtually all of them were guilty of it today. 'So, when you get the ball, try and get it caught under your feet, like a dog in the park, until you feel a Liverpool player brush the back of your shorts. Then fall over.'

At some point, even though I'm open minded about Garde, we have to question what he's actually doing to try and improve us. Because today, that looked suspiciously like he picked a team because he had no other choice but to fulfil a fixture.

It could be worse, in 35/36 we also lost 0-7 vs the Bitters, 2-7 vs Boro, 2-6 vs Grimsby, 5-0 vs Man City, 1-7 vs Arsenal, 5-1 vs Blackburn, 5-2 vs Sheff Wed.

Now that's a Paul Lambert Christmas.
i seem to remember Forest doing us five at VP about 25 years back.
