When can you start voting for Player of the Season and will the season review DVD become available for sale in April or May?

Stephen Ireland must be in with a good shout of winning it again.

I don't think we have a good enough squad to make a few purchases in the summer and turn us into promotion prospects. I think we will have to buy players that will actually just keep us in the championship.  It's only now that I realise how the fans of clubs such as Leeds and Wednesday must feel. We are going to have to go through what they have been through. All because of gross mismanagement.

Listened to WM on the way back. Worst home defeat since 1935 apparently. They had Dennis Mortimer on at one point and when pressed to say who was to blame for a shameful performance like that (being encouraged to blame Lerner/Garde/Fox etc) he said no - it was the players, and as a group of professional players they showed a lack of fight and professional pride both individually and collectively. Pretty spot on really - for all the fuck-ups off the pitch a professional footballer should at least go out and show some fight and some pride. Ours looked as though they were booking their holidays. And I never want to see Bacuna or Westwood in a Villa shirt again. The only plus to salvage from a complete clusterfuck of shit that was today's game, was the noise in the Holte for the last 10 minutes or so

And I don't think we've seen the worst yet - this board and that squad will take us straight to Division 1. We need a complete clearout, starting with the likes of Fox, Riley and Almstadt, as well as Lerner, and then all the deadwood and shit in the squad. Pay them off and start again - and get a football man such as Sir Brian on the board. I really believe it will - and may actually need to - get a whole lot worse before it gets better

Away from the football side, can someone please tell me who the best person is to email about a complaint. Today, I was outside the ground having a cig when a steward came up and said I needed to move about 5 yards as I could not smoke where I was standing, which was in the open air!! Even worse, by the corporate entrance the security man virtually asked a man to strip off because his little machine beeped. I think it turned out to be a coin that was causing the beep. Just after that incident, 3 women with handbags almost as big as a small luggage you would take on holiday were given a cursory glance inside their bags by the security women, no waving the magic electronic wand at them and not asked to undo their coats like all the men were being asked to do. Absolute disgrace. If you are a "terrorist" just send a women instead of a man and bobs yer uncle.

So nothing from the club on the football side but, coming up with loads of ideas of how to piss off the fans!!

Please sack this gutless and spineless cowardly manager.  He doesn't give a shit about the club.

Entirely correct

The morons running the place are fully to blame for employing very bad imposters to do the work of 'professional' footballers.

99% of these donkeys are actors who got a call from their agent about a very lucrative job, got to BH, did a few keepie uppies and got a multi million pound contract.

Made up I didn't go today, was at the UK Squash  finals   in Manchester.

We painted ourselves another false dawn after the Norwich game, yes we really are that bad.  Surely at 2-0 down we should have least have had  a go but no.

Garde appears to have identified the correct  weaknesses  in the squad  but then reverts to Villa  type.

Oh well Stoke in 2 weeks lets  hope its a decent day  out.  The most glum person on Merseyside right now.

Apologies if this was mentioned earlier - it's too depressing to read the whole thread. I agree with what others have written about the players and the club management, but what surprised and impressed me was the home support at the end. After the 3rd goal, when hundreds walked out and the anti-Lerner chanting started, I thought the atmosphere would get very nasty but the Holte in particular really got behind the team and chanted support non-stop for the last 10 minutes. Actually, it was the club they were shouting for and not the team, and it illustrated how much the club means to thousands of people - something that the owner and the board just don't grasp.
