i think we should vote the player who make the least appearance in time. so if we had a kid coming off the bench for 2 minutes in one game. Make him our player of the year.

This is catastrophic. Its now becoming obvious to even the most optimistic and fervent of supporters that this time the decline could well be  be terminal for our beloved club. With this regime in control and with this group of players we certainly will not survive in the championship. I have been a supporter since 1966 and have seen some bad times but nothing like this. I am utterly depressed and gutted.

There's not alot that I can say that I'd imagine hasn't already been said.

The first three goals were individual errors. Beyond that, I'm sorry but our lot gave up from what I saw. Fortunately for us, Liverpool gave up at six, otherwise it could have become *really* embarrassing.

The first time we've shipped six at home in the league since 1983 when Arsenal won 6-2, so that's yet another unwanted record achieved. Whoopie-doo.

Still, I'm sure the commercial department feel it was a successful day. Shirt, scarf and pie sales were probably quite high. Not to mention the increase in Oxo and tea sales to help stave off the cold.

I've been going since I was 8 and that's the worst Villa performance I've ever seen.

The 11 on the pitch aren't Villa. The people in the boardroom aren't Villa. We in the stands are Villa and we still be when they have all gone.

It's going to be a long road but we will rise again.

Can't wait for the season to end. I would say that we should try some of the young players but, honestly, I know nothing about them. The constant disregard of the youngsters over the last 2 or 3 seasons has left us in a position where picking any would be just a gamble. However, that gamble has to be taken to try and get some effort into the team.

It could be worse, in 35/36 we also lost 0-7 vs the Bitters, 2-7 vs Boro, 2-6 vs Grimsby, 5-0 vs Man City, 1-7 vs Arsenal, 5-1 vs Blackburn, 5-2 vs Sheff Wed.

Now that's a Paul Lambert Christmas.
i seem to remember Forest doing us five at VP about 25 years back.

Correct 0-5 early season, probably September. Midweek game either 1984or1985. We were poor but compared to this lot we were world beaters.

Just home.  That game today was a defining moment in the history of the club.  Before today we were clinging to the belief that Remi Garde had drummed a bit of organisation and resolve into them.  Clearly he has not.  Their headless chickens routine resurfaced with a vengeance today.  I thought it at times during the tenure of the last four managers - are they actually refusing to follow instructions and I thought the same today.  The players are a rabble.  Remi Garde used up a lot goodwill today by letting that shameful performance happen.  Bacuna and Westwood should both have got the hook at half time and by not doing it Remi Garde in my opinion showed weakness.

There have been moments in games this season when you got the distinct impression that there were players in our side who did not mind losing.

Apologies if this was mentioned earlier - it's too depressing to read the whole thread. I agree with what others have written about the players and the club management, but what surprised and impressed me was the home support at the end. After the 3rd goal, when hundreds walked out and the anti-Lerner chanting started, I thought the atmosphere would get very nasty but the Holte in particular really got behind the team and chanted support non-stop for the last 10 minutes. Actually, it was the club they were shouting for and not the team, and it illustrated how much the club means to thousands of people - something that the owner and the board just don't grasp.

The atmosphere was quite surreal near the end. It was almost as is a weight had been lifted off the fans because we know that its basically all over now.

I think in my 48 years of watching the villa that is the most embarrassing spineless performance I have seen
Also I understand what people are saying about reminding but I am not seeing the improvement that is being talked about

It is quite unbelievable that Bacuna and Westwood were given 5 (yes five) year contracts last year. Makes you want to weep.
