Remi looked like a man on his way out. Shaking all the players hands seperately

That's what it looked like to me as well.  Godf'kin'dammit.

Garde can go with his head held high and the good wishes of most of the fans.

Why are so many Villa fans wanting our first decent manager for years to walk away, have you all got some sort of fucked up football related stockholm syndrome?

To prove a point to the board I guess - classic cutting off nose to spite face.

To me, our only hope is somehow they get Garde to stay on through next season.  Promise him the moon.  He could SGTmkI v 2.0.

I agree.

The only thing that could make this season worse than it has already been would be Garde leaving.

If he does walk, Saturday's game will be a rather lively affair. Off the pitch.

We battled tonight. Not seen that much this season. Similar level of effort on Saturday and we could close the gap to 7 points with Norwich dropping like a stone.

Not saying we'd survive but I'd take just having the possibility of something to play for in the remaining games.

That did make me chuckle.  But I'm struggling to see how Garde has been decent?  Decent would've been a league place or two up.  A string of wins.  A signing or 5.  I know that isn't completely in his control, but he has to take some of the blame for where we are now, which is a worse position to when he took the job in terms if points adrift at least.

Decent because you can see that with a good forward in the team we'd be a far better side than the results are showing right now.  I've said a few times what Garde has needed for a while is to get a couple of cheap wins, someone to have one go in off his back or something similar just so the players feel a little less like fate is against them, Ref performances like today are the absolute last thing a club in our position needs bu they get them all too often.

We were worse than shit, & Ayew's a pillock, but we haven't got our fair share of decisions either.  Noble MoM when he shouldn't have been on the pitch.

Ridiculous, we were on top until Ayew went off then I thought Remi had the players well organised, very hard to get a result with ten men for most of the game.

Anyone who reckons we were worse than shit clearly wasn't watching.

And that's my point the fans should be praying he stays, not exclaiming to everyone that they'll understand if he walks away.  I fucking won't, I'll be seriously pissed off just like everyone else should be.

I don't give one tenth of one single shit about that lot, seriously. It's all about us.

I agree there was plenty of spirit there and quite honestly West Ham are no better than us but our ability to self destruct is unbelievable

Hmm, not sure I follow.

I'll understand if he leaves because he quite clearly has been fucked by the board. That doesn't mean I want it - far from it - I can just understand if it happens, because he has just cause.

The look on the players faces as they walked off was the look of dead men walking.

I can't argue with the fact he's been unlucky.  But when boiled down to results, he's been a disaster.  Can a manager survive that?  Maybe if the playing staff gets a total upheaval.  Looks like that isn't happening.
