Why have Middlesex not declared yet?

240 off 40?

I reckon Yorkshire are laughing there.

Dunno, day 4 pitch and a top order that collapsed on day 2, I think that's about fair, with no fielding and bowling restrictions on a pitch that's staying low they'll need a couple of good performances.  I reckon start normal but with Willey padded up to come on early.

Well done you Bears! That's more like how Warwickshire should play. The title was there for the taking with a couple more wins. Need to sort the Batting for next year.

Should be interesting 6 an over. Seems they are trying to rule Somerset out.

I wonder if things start well for Yorks how quickly Middlesex will spread the field?

Can they afford to?  Whatever happens both teams have to go for the win so I suspect catchers in for the entire session regardless.

Well they have a finite number of runs to play with....containing the scoring will lead to the batsman taking risks.

Containing the scoring is going to be hard.

I would agree with that but getting the batsmen to take risks I think is their best chance.

Plenty of anger from Somerset about the declaration. It is a generous declaration but I think every county would do the same in similar circumstances. Apart from Somerset obviously.

It goes back to the 3 day game and Contrived results. It's a shame it still has to happen in the 4 day game but without it county 4 day would probably die out altogether.

I can understand the frustration of Somerset supporters but the way some are stropping about it you'd think it was the first time there had ever been any declaration bowling. If I see 'spirit of cricket' mentioned again...
