Think Middlesex are now the outsiders for the title as it is highly unlikely that a draw will be enough for them. Somerset will surely beat Nottinghamshire.

Wonder if Middlesex will go for it, try and set a target of about 120 and see if they can bowl Yorkshire out, after all Yorkshire may have to score runs quickly too.

Quite pleased that Warwickshire have a 300 lead. Maybe we can have a bit of a slog now and put Lancashire into bat with about 10 overs left?

We have a lead of 300 with 4 wickets remaining at tea. We should declare early in the last session other things being equal.

Hampshire have lost 2 wickets so it could still be interesting there too.

3 down for Hants and Yorkshire have already taken a wicket.

Early wicket for Yorkshire, poor from Robson really.

Yorkies have to be clear favourites for the title now and by a hair I'd have Lancs favourite for the drop, Hampshire trying to score quick and give themselves the best chance of bowling Durham out again but they're giving wickets away doing it, 80/3 lead of 130.

We're in a very strong position now, suspect we'll declare soon and leave ourselves with 120 overs and 330ish to defend, gotta be happy with that really.

Hants lost another 85/4 they might start to get nervous soon if they lose many more cheap ones.

Strauss trying to get Sidebottom, Brooks and Bresnan rested for remainder of the season.

That's a disgrace of a shot from an international batsman, it's an ok delivery but no more.  I'll call it early, Middlesex have absolutely bottled this title challenge today, it should never have got to this point.

If Somerset win their match tonight I imagine some of their fans might travel to Lords tomorrow, praying for a draw.

Hehe - that we can agree on.

It has been a brilliant effort from Yorkshire once Bresnan came out to bat.

Bears declared.

279/7 declared a lead of 346. I must confess to being a little surprised. 114 overs to bowl lancs out.

Exciting stuff for a county championship game. I'm always interested in looking up the scores at close of play, but I'm rarely checking for constant updates. Come on you Bears.
