Would've liked to have kicked on and got a really big score, but if we can take an early wicket or two we have a great chance.

Is Tresco injured or doesn't he play 50 Over games any more ?

He's generally playing less and less cricket, I'm not sure how much longer we will see him on the county circuit.

The county have adopted a policy of saving him for the championship to avoid injuries and avoid disrupting his rhythm. I reckon he will play at Lords, though.

Are you referring to Keith Barker??

Sorry, yes.

Thanks

It was very good of Somerset to let us use a specialist keeper to replace Ambrose.........The Spirit of Cricket lives

Final tickets booked. First time I can ever remember the Bears being in a Final that didn't clash with a Villa home game.

I was there yesterday and was a little suprised that the crowd was not bigger given it was a Semi final on a Bank Holiday Monday.

Good performance by the bowlers even it that 8th wicket partnership began to worry us because at 161-7 I was getting my mind ready for an early trip to Moseley and it's pubs.

I'd have gone of it was on the Sunday. I like to go when I have the following day off so I can get nicely drunk. That's why it pisses me off that we hardly ever seem to play a one-day game on a fucking Saturday.

We're slight favourites for the RL cup according to BetVictor.

Surrey favourites according to Stan James.

I had us at 14/1 earlier in the season. I've got to decide whether to cover my bet or not.

I'm in the same position but at 10/1. I'm going to have a few quid on Surrey to cover my initial stake.

Middlesex are 190-6 at tea. Wright has 3-33 and Poysden 3-34.

It was reported earlier that Barker had received an official warning for running on the pitch. The fact that he's only bowled 8 overs would suggest he's been taken out of the attack.

So 14 games into the season and we still haven't won a toss

The rules for the toss were changed this season, the visiting captain is now offered the chance to bat first. If he declines then the toss takes place as normal. If he accepts then there's no toss. On a dry, late summer Edgbaston pitch it's hardly surprising that Middlesex don't want to bat last and risked the toss which they subsequently won.

Good day for the Bears. Bowled them out for 242 and lost money wickets on the 2 overs remaining. We need yo press home the advantage tomorrow.
