You only just worked out I'm a Yorkshireman?! You really are coming across as an incredibly bitter and sore loser! I wasn't there but I've spent most of my 54 years watching Yorkshire at Headingley, Scarborough, Hull, Sheffield, Middlesbrough and Harrogate and I have NEVER known an opposition player to not be applauded on reaching whatever landmark score. Even Lancashire players.

Was never in doubt  you were from Yorkshire, you sound just like Boycott or maybe Vaughan .Such a know all .I listened to the WHOLE game and i also listened to the game on Monday which by the way we WON Your lot were so biased it was untrue, just a thought, maybe your hearing or sight are not to good. You can spout all the bollocks you like about how wonderful your crowd are but as far as i am concerned the crowd at Headingley are the worst i have encountered and like you i have been following the Bears for over 50 years

This is quite possibly the most ridiculous post I've ever seen on H&V, congratulations!

If anyone sounds like a child its bloody you. I voiced a opinion on the unsporting Headingley crowd .I knew it would upset you when you saw it,your so predictable. It sounds like your calling me a liar or making things up. You also find the need to be personal against me and sadly i have responded .You tykes are so self opinionated that your never wrong ,so lets agree to disagree as i am sure everyone on here is having a laugh

Sorry but this is getting silly.  You've slagged off specifically the fans of another county knowing that a supporter of that county posts on the thread regularly and that you knew it would upset him and followed up by regularly stereotyping anyone vaguely interested in cricket from Yorkshire.

I've never heard anyone else have a bad word to say about the fans at Yorkshire so I'm not sure how you've managed to form such a strong opinion of them like this.

I voiced a opinion ,are you saying i am  not allowed to. Your twisting things, i said when i posted my view that i expected Jameson to have a go,fair enough,he is a yorkie after all.  .Where have i said everyone who follows Yorkshire is the same ? If you have never heard other people having a go at the Headingley crowd then i suggest you should get out and visit the place. Is'nt the Western terrace famous for the way the crowd act. Your right,it is getting silly and if you bothered to read my last post you would see that

The post where you called all their fans self-opinionated and never wrong and called Chris a child for being a bit upset that you slagged him off (amongst others)? Was that supposed to be reconciliatory or to stop the disagreement? Seems a little bit like you're the one who is being a bit overly opinionated right now.

Oh and a right to an opinion doesn't mean other people can't think the way you're expressing it is aggressive or that it's ridiculous.

Blimey I've never seen an argument on an H&V Cricket thread before.

Without endorsing either argument, all counties have their share of loud, boorish supporters. Some more than others, particularly at Edgbaston where some members are not slow in sharing their opinions to all and sundry beer or no beer.

What I would say is that genuine Cricket fans always acknowledge good performances by opposition players whether they're watching tests or championship Cricket. It's part of the beauty of the game and is one of the reasons I now prefer it to football.

In my experience the Yorkshire crowd is both knowledgeable and sporting but obviously there are exceptions to this.

99% of the people who post on the Cricket threads are people I would happily spend a day watching the cricket with (I'd keep reassuring Paulwinchagain everything was going to be alright!), anybody who thinks that just because somebody is from Yorkshire must be an opinionated, obnoxious tosser like Boycott or Vaughan I would go out of my way to avoid. I love the cricket threads, but will tread carefully in future.

Although Boycott is generally correct!

paul_e with  respect you don't half spout a lot of drivel at times You should read my messages carefully before you poke your oar in, i never said ALL Yorkshire fans are self opinionated just some of them .Correct me if i am wrong but i am pretty sure you are the guy when i expressed a opinion some while back that Ali was a second rate spinner and did not deserve to be England's number one spinner ,you had to tell me how wrong i was. Enough said.

Yorkshire is the only ground i have been to and i have been to most ,where the whole crowd ,not just a few dickheads don't even applaud when a visiting player reaches a 50 or 100

i never said ALL Yorkshire fans are self opinionated just some of them

Sorry to drag this out but you've never met me but formed that opinion of me simply because I disagreed with you about your ridiculous claim that nobody acknowledges the feats of opposition players. There are dickheads at every sporting occasion, don't know if you've noticed but the Western Terrace doesn't exist any longer and isn't open for any of the County matches.

In your eyes are all southerners 'cockernee spivs', Scousers 'car thieves', Glaswegians 'drunks' etc?

My god it was a general statement ,wish i had'nt bothered. It's obvious you CJ and the other one on here having a go at me  are the sort of people  who you can not argue with and have to have the last word. Well so be it,i will stand by MY opinion that Headingley compared to the rest of the cricket grounds i have been to is the most biased and unsporting I dont care what you or anyone else thinks or says that is MY opinion and i stand by it .

Oh by the way if the Western Terrace does not exist anymore, maybe you should inform the Yorkshire guy (who i like by the way) doing the online reporting  about it as he mentioned it a few times during the match
