One of those niggly pain in the arse partnerships taking place at Headingley where Yorkshire have moved on to:

Close of play:
252/9 96 overs
Patterson 35
Sidebottom 11
A frustrating 48 unbroken partnership for last wkt.

Decent day for the Bears, but could have been so much better,i feel we have let them off the hook again like we have a couple of times in the last couple of seasons.

9/3 now, a lead of 4. If it was a Warwickshire or England match there would be comments along the lines of "we desperately need to break up this partnership or these two will take the game away from us."

Trott & Bell both out cheaply. However, Yorkshire 78/5, so match is in the balance. If we can chase under 200 and don't  be reckless, we could pull off a win.

Poor batting Clarke and Hain aside by the Bears. I know they are 78/5 but that is a lead of 156 already,i fear we will be chasing over 200 and that will be a tough ask for us.Have a feeling that last wicket stand of theirs will prove to be costly

14 for 3. Unless the pitch inspectors make an appearance, this has been a shambolic batting performance.

14 for 3, Hain injured, the Bears will do well to reach 100 the way things are. Bell out for a duck after just one in the first innings, i think the captaincy has had a big effect on his batting as it did on the likes of Troughton and Chopra and i can see him giving it up at the end of the season.Sorry to see Umeed bag a pair, that probably means the return of Westwood

What's wrong with Hain? Any chance of him batting?

Damaged his shoulder or arm after colliding with the boundary, useless guys doing the reporting on line have no idea whats wrong with him and if he can bat.The WM guy,Cris Coles does not seem to know he was out most of last season with a shoulder injury,

Thanks Pooligan for the update. Keep Hain away from the boundary as a fielder!

95/3, Trott 50, 133 to win. We have a real chance now. Anyone know if Hain is available if we get close with 9 down?
