Great performance by Javid and Patel particularly in such damp conditions.

Very impressive performance. I presume we now get whoever finishes 3rd or 4th in the other group?
3rd
Essex, Hamphire, Kent, Middlesex or Surrey then.

Would prefer Kent or Middlesex and Essex at a push. Don't fancy Hants or Surrey.

Fair play to the Bears, A really impressive win which i did not think was possible the way we have been playing. To go to the league leaders and thrash them by 114 runs takes some doing .Credit to all the players, but special praise to Trott,Evans,Patel and Javid. Was also good to see that OHD was finally left out .

Qtr Finals 17th & 18th August

Guessing 2nd place finish means we will be at home.

Hoping to avoid Hampshire, as they always seem to do well against us.

At Headingley yesterday, great all round display from the Bears in tricky overcast and damp conditions. The slow bowling of Javid and Patel was impressive but without Trott's century we would have been woefully short of runs. COYB!

Chopra is re-joining Essex on a three-year contract.

Laurie Evans is joining Northamptonshire on a months loan to play Championship Cricket. I don't know if that means he can come back for one day Cricket because he's an important member of the side, as we saw last night against Yorkshire. It's clear he wants to play more Championship Cricket so we do risk losing him. However with Bell, Trott and Hain ahead of him he's a long way from being a regular selection.

Not exactly a surprise ref. Chopra but the Evans thing i think is an encouraging sign for him, that we as a club have faith in him and want to see him
get some championship runs, as who knows we could find Hain opening in championship next season. I rather hope thats not the case as i would rather Andy Umeed succeed.
I will be watching Northants scores a little more closely.
Also yes i believe Evans can come back and play for us in Royal London. A few players have done it, Luke Fletcher immediately comes to mind.
