All Over:
Bowling figures
Clarke    10   0   60   1
Wright    7   0   54    1
Gordon  8.4 0   49   2
Patel      10   0   56   1
Javid       4   0   14   0
OHD        8   0   51  0
I take it Javid must have injured himself after his 4th over?

What i feared would happen yesterday happened today instead .292 would be a good score and very defendable  ,that is if you have not got a bowling attack like we have at the moment .Dougie's blue eyed boy OHD managed to be our worst bowler again going for 0-51 in just 8 overs.Wright who takes the odd wicket but goes for plenty quite often, went for 1-54 but almost certainly turned the game Durham's way when he went for 20 at a crucial stage .Patel whose performances in the white ball game this season have been disappointing was expensive as was Clarke today.Another strange decision by our coach/captain was to not bowl Javid who took 1-14 in four overs again in the match .I listened to the whole match and he was not injured Finally i think someone should tell Patel that he is allowed to use his bat when he is at the crease .Must be at least half a dozen times this season he has been out first ball Our batting maestro Gooch  needs to sort him out

Going to be extremely difficult to qualify now with our last game away at Yorkshire, even if we do we will need to rely on
other results.

The likelihood is that we will be out of both competitions by Monday night.

Yes i think it is more than likely we will be out of both competitions come Monday night. With our clueless stubborn DOC almost certain to select the same bunch of players who have failed time after time you just can not see us winning at either  Headingley or Old Trafford .

Sadly I think this is spot on. Don't see us being close in the County Champ when it comes to the crunch over the next 2 months either. We need to recruit a bit more aggressively in the close season for a change.

Richard Jones who has been on loan at Leicestershire has signed a 2 year deal there.

Ten Doeschate just got clattered in the head by a screaming drive by Zaidi.

Luckily it was flush in the face if the helmet and he's OK to carry on.

Zaidi wins the game for Essex with yet another six. Superb innings to turn the game around. Essex looked out if it with four overs to go.

Yes that carnage from Zaidi was great entertainment to win that game.

I agree with you  Hoyle87, i can not see us winning the County Championship either .Our chance of winning it all but disappeared with Woakes being called up by England and doing so well. I just read that Dougie Brown can not explain why some of the players he has called in can not perform when under pressure It is easy Dougie, the likes of Evans,Javid,Gordon and OHD are just not good enough against the better teams

On the plus side, Barker fit again and could play tonight. Trott might return for Monday's crunch One-Day Cup clash with Yorkshire.

Lancs won toss and are batting...so we are chasing which we prefer. Team:
Bell. Hain, Porterfield, Wade, Evans, Clarke, Javid, Gordon, Patel, Poysden, OHD

Sadly as i predicted, same old faces for the match at Lancs with the exception of Wade for Ambrose .We will be chasing a big total with the bowling attack we have put out

Barker injured, Wright smashed all over the park last time. Gordon our 2nd best seamer last time out after the consistent Clarke not a lot of choice with Rankin also injured.
