Wish i could say i was surprised at the thrashing suffered last night by Northants but sadly i half expected it.Yet again the likes of Porterfield,Evans,Clarke and Patel failed with the bat when called upon .Then we have OHD going for 11 in what turned just about to be his only over The drop of Cobb by Patel just about summed the night up .How we continue to leave out Chopra,Trott,Rankin,and Barker for the likes of Porterfield,Evans and OHD continues to baffle me

It baffles me as well on the selections by Brown. I really think Ateeq should be in the four-day team, he's usually solid and he's a good spin option - surely as an all-rounder he should be ahead of Poysden as we already have Patel?

I think it's down to the fact that Warwickshire like many other counties like to have a 'leggie' option and Poysden is that option. He is still learning his trade and will only play when conditions
suit. Such as this particular game  where he did only bowl 4 overs in the innings, i would imagine he will bowl more in the 2nd innings. The spin option was used inside the first 10 overs yesterday.
