We were 195/1 when Bell was out. The rain break has certainly made a difference and vindicated
Durhams decision to bat first. They must have been worried the way we started
246/6 68 overs another 9 left in the day if they get em all in.

Hopefuly it will be a case of having the runs in the book. Barker's in good nick, maybe he can get us up to 300.

Strange innings for the Bears. We usually lose a wicket early and the bottom of the order gets runs. Big up for Umeed, his only other first class game was for Scotland against Afghanistan.

A particularly meaningful innings for the lad as Durham were his first county who he played for through various age groups and let him go.

I left at the same time as you PGW as I with sister and nephew and they didn't fancy hanging around. No rain at all a mile southwest of the ground.

Not great after such a solid start. The lower order have scored most of our runs this season so I suppose a collapse was due by the law of averages.

Anybody know what is going on with Rikki Clarke? Unavailable for selection was the official explanation.

Fairly big collapse there by the Bears.  If they can limp to 300 we'll have to see how Durham do in their 1st innings.
