Today saw two very rare occurrences:

All eleven Warwickshire players bowled and the wicket keeper got a wicket.

Not a good advert for county championship cricket, to be honest.

Thought early season pitches were meant to be bowler friendly result wickets.
If 20 wickets had fallen in a day there would be trouble and fines, why not the same for producing a pitch so unlikely to produce a result?

It's always been the way. Cricket doesn't care about the fans. Witness the number of times umpires take teams off even when the bowling team is more than happy to play spinners so it's not dangerous in any way, or the ludicrous scheduling of county games to avoid taking advantage of weekends.

If we could reduce it to one innings per side could still be a good game. Neither side will agree though as it would mean forfeiting the bonus points from our batting/their bowling. One of my bug bears is that captains can't agree to forfeit their second innings during the game. Make it a one innings game, keep your bonus points, far better chance of a result. Much better for the supporters.

I'd have thought Porterfield must be in with a shout of getting the next match instead of Westwood, I had a look at the batting averages for Division 1 this morning and I know it is very early in the season but it did amuse me to see our opening batsman 99th out of 99.
