True but the original point I was trying to make was that it was understandable that some fans would call for Pulis when it was clear our only ambition in life was to stay in the PL at any cost.

Because Aston Villa belong in the Premier League.
Let's face it we've hardly played like Barcelona these last 6 years have we? Stay in the PL till that muppet Lerner finally sells us then hopefully things improve again. Relegation would be utterly disastrous though.

Sure I understand it because the Preeemiership is now the only thing that matters to lots of fans. Not a very edifying choice, relegation or Pulis.

I would sooner take my chances with a manager who might in the long term see us be better than a Tony Pulis side. I would sooner not get relegated this season, but I would take Garde and relegation over Pulis and staying up right now.

So you'd rather continue as per the last 4-5 years under Pulis than give someone who it appears took about 5 minutes to identify where the problems were the chance to actually enact some long term sustainable improvements.

And you've still not answered the how much more money should Lerner have poured in question.

I don't think we are in any position to go on about the style of football teams play when we've played some of the worst stuff the divisions seen the last few years. A couple of years of stabilising under a Pulis type manager before moving onwards and upwards from him wouldn't have gone amiss in my opinion.

I still think Garde has done precious little so far to suggest so much confidence in him, and what on earth gives you the confidence to think things will improve in the championship? You'd really trust the men in charge to reignite the club next season after what's happened to us over the last 6 seasons?

I does make me smile when I see some people on here preaching about how absolutely shite some other teams in our league are while we're down with the dead men, having stunk the league out for the last 3 seasons or so.
