Guzan - One decent save, still too much posing when in possession, Flapped comically at cross ion 2nd halfLyden - Tidy on debut. Considering I did not know that was not his natural position then actually very goodRichards - DominantClark - won every header and took goal wellRichardson - The journeymans career is over as his legs are showingSinclair - looks great in 5 minute cameos, anon for rest of gamesSanchez - quite simply the worst midfielder I have ever seen in our shirtWestwood - about his level - shame I had high hopes for him but 4 managers cannot get a consistent performance out of himGrealish - Sadly has fell victim to all the hype and Sherwood mounting him on a pedestal when clearly not good enough (yet?) - worst player on the pitch and considering her shared most of it with Sanchez that is saying something!Ayew - Works his nads off - holds it a little too long at times but the only player we have with a bit of skill and pace ATMGestede - I think its an urban myth about his prowess in the air - he is beaten most times as his timing is so awful. About as mobile as Stephen Hawking - maybe keep as a last chance battering ramGana - Changed the game - industrious and scored a good goal. Always looks to go forward which I likeGil - Caused them concern by his presence and the game opened up although his actual contribution I thought was minimul
I don't get it when I read the suggestions he was lazy or didn't put a shift in last night. I couldn't fault his work rate - I particulary noticed his movement in trying to get away from their #20 who seemed to be intent on man marking him by holding Grealish in some type of bear grip for most of the first half.To me he looked out of touch and to some degree constained by the paucity of options around him - much the same as many have excused Gill for.
I have just read the match report in this mornings Guardian and its says.... " Wycombe themselves led 3-1 at Villa Park in the League Cup on 2005 before losing 8-3 "I know a few H & Vers read The Guardian. I have no idea where their reporter Peter Lansley got the idea that game was at Villa Park. Perhaps he was inaccurately told this by an employee or someone associated with Aston Villa Football Club. If this was the case then it is just another sign of how far our once great club has fallen. I have e-mailed them about this and hopefully it will be remedied in their corrections and clarifications section in the coming days. I shall keep my Guardian subscription at present but review this pending their response. Disgraceful.

Not sure many teams would fear our starting X1. That's how bad this squad is.At least we go into the Olyon game on the back of a win.Be great to beat them.
