He scored from one against Man City a year later. Think there might have been another too.

The Man City goal was in September 2013, the Cardiff one in November 2013. I'm pretty sure there hasn't been another one.

Which points to another damning stat , seems a high % of players we buy go backwards under us.Betrand is a great example started off great then looked poor now looks decent again at Southampton.

One thing Bacuna most certainly isn't is a left back. It's laughable that he's even having to play there.
100% right

It pretty shows underlines how desperate we are - to have to play a mediocre right sided, right footed midfield player at left back - opposing right wingers must be licking their lips when they see the line up.

I've always thought that Bacuna flatters to deceive because of his supposed versatility. Like most of our squad, is regularly guilty of making terrible decisions. The frequency at which he gives the ball to team-mates in poor positions, or looks to play square or cross-field balls in order to just 'pass the buck' instead of trying to instigate any attacking movement is the thing I find most frustrating about him. He's not even the set-piece specialist he appeared to be at first. He hasn't hit even a remotely decent one since that Cardiff game! He's a squad player at best at this level. I can't think of one other side in the Premiership where he'd be anything other than an occasional name on the bench.

To be fair Bacuna is versatile. Unfortunately, it equates to him being equally shite wherever he plays.
I  called him rubbish and got jumped. No one has said a word about him being called shite!! Some villa fans can be so fickle.

Perhaps everybody has finally realised how abysmal he actually is? At least he ain't on his own...

when you have a championship standard player like bacuna starting regularly over 3 seasons and being equally shit in every position he plays in you end up where we are now

Futile festive farrago of a fixture. Send 11 Holte Enders in Santa hats, we'll get beat but it'll be fun. The prospect of watching our players stink out another 90 minutes is too much to take.

No, you got jumped on because you said:

"Bacuna is shit. The end."

It isn't your declaration of him as shit that people are reacting to (most of us agree), it is your "the end" comment which is somewhat arrogant.

It is nothing to do with Villa fans being "fickle".

Bacuna wouldn't make the 25 man squad of any other Premier League club. He just wouldn't. He's a fucking abomination. He'd struggle in the Championship to be honest. When the ball comes to him he looks like he's tippy tapping a live hand grenade. He looks desperately uncomfortable with a football. What the fuck made him want to be a footballer??
Shit.
But then once in a blue moon he does something surprisingly good, like his 5 goals a couple of years ago, or his Leicester goal last season, or the Cafu game last season. But 9 times out of 10 he looks like Ali Dia's less talented cousin.

And there are times when I wonder if Bacuna was even behind Gabby in the queue when God was handing out brains.

I'm sick of seeing some of these faces mugging a living from the club still. See also Richardson, Westwood, Guzan and Gabby (credit Remi that he's seen through Flabby).

Arrogant? Lol. It was and is just my opinion. The end just means I didn't intend to carry on a conversation about him cos in my opinion he will never be good enough for Aston Villa. Lots of people have come  on and slagged him
off in much harsher terms and nobody has said a word. Accusing villa fans of being fickle was a bit of fun.Obviously. It's just banter and opinions mate.

Right.  Can you dig out a quote from a poster on here who made Bacuna out to be world class one week and then compared him to Gary Penrice the next?  Because that would be fickle.

As a general rule, anyone who says 'Villa fans are fickle, usually means 'some Villa fans disagree with my point of view.'
