Didn't we get 8 the last time we went to Wycombe? And five the time before.
Yes.
That said when we played them in a friendly last pre-season (yes...friendly I know) we were outplayed.

The 8-3 was a great game. 3-1 down at half time if I recall. We looked appalling.

The 'fickle' game, I believe.

So an away tie against 4th division average club. Yes that will do.
Otherwise very boring 3rd round. Could have done with Liv v Che and MC v Mu type  ties however  good to see 5 PL only ties. Shame for Eastleigh deserved better than Bolton.

Eastleigh deserved Carlisle away.

And Bolton, a 'proper' club in a bad situation deserved better than a parvenu like Eastleigh.

I can't see us being on TV.

Exeter is a cert and Arsenal is likely as they are cup holders, whilst Doncaster v Stoke or matches at Spurs, Norwich, Watford or Southampton would all be more attractive for TV.

They should switch the match to Wembley, I'm sure you could fill it with your commas.

Didn't we play them in a pre-season friendly when ONeill took over- seem to recall going there round about that time when another high profile player was just about to fuck off to Man U or wherever?

At least someone is has some regard for us:

Wycombe will meet Aston Villa at Adams Park in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup.
Speaking moments after the draw was made on Monday night, manager Gareth Ainsworth said: "I'm really happy with the draw. The boys deserve their chance to have a shot at Premier League opposition and I'm sure it'll be a fantastic occasion at Adams Park."

The tie will be played on the weekend of Saturday 9th January 2016, with the potential for the game to be moved for television coverage.

Yep, get past our lot mate and with a good draw your lads might get their wish! ;)
Sad but true.

This of course. A struggling big name Premier League team drawn away at a lower league team. It's the obvious tie to televise if the tv company wants to see a giant killing in the true tradition of the FA Cup.

Wycombe Away 1997 pre-season was Unsworth's only appearance for us.  Think we won 7-0 with goals from SVC, Yorkie and Savo.

Not an exciting draw, as we've played them quite a few times over the last 15 years or so, but gives us a decent chance of progressing.

A good draw for us, but I would have preferred a side we've not played in a while or before.

I hope Salford are on the telly again if they get through.  They could do with a bit more of the media spotlight and I can't get enough of them.

I want to see them win and their supporters all run on to the pitch. What a passionate and happy bunch they will be embodying the very spirit of the FA Cup. Not like those dirty tramps from the Aston area who last season conjured memories of Heysel and the like.
