The game must be nailed on for live TV coverage?
They will be falling over themselves at the prospect of us being humiliated and the opportunity to take the piss.

Well I for one enjoyed the cup run last year. Yes the game itself was a disaster but if you didn't enjoy the quarter final, the semi final, the build up to the final, the day itself and the final spine tingling 15 mins before kick off when Wembley was ours and hopping and would prefer our owner to trouser a £100 million while giving us the square root of fxxk all again to spend then go for it.

I can't help but doubt that losing to Wycombe will do wonders for our confidence and self belief in staying up.

So an away tie against 4th division average club. Yes that will do.
Otherwise very boring 3rd round. Could have done with Liv v Che and MC v Mu type  ties however  good to see 5 PL only ties. Shame for Eastleigh deserved better than Bolton.

I can't help but doubt that having a cup run and incurring injuries and suspensions will help us stay up.
Allah almighty ...we will soon be scared of our own shadow!

At least someone is has some regard for us:

Wycombe will meet Aston Villa at Adams Park in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup.
Speaking moments after the draw was made on Monday night, manager Gareth Ainsworth said: "I'm really happy with the draw. The boys deserve their chance to have a shot at Premier League opposition and I'm sure it'll be a fantastic occasion at Adams Park."

The tie will be played on the weekend of Saturday 9th January 2016, with the potential for the game to be moved for television coverage.

From the Guardian:

Quote
Wycombe Wanderers v Aston Villa. Who’s favourite for that?

Bastards!

I wouldn't put money on us - Remi will want out the Cup as soon as possible. Wycombe will probably hope that we field a weak team, so they will be hoping for our first XI !!

you know this how exactly?
Because he will want to concentrate on the Premier League and the £100m it will bring us next year - it's not rocket science!

Neither is it simple arithmetic.

I hope Salford are on the telly again if they get through.  They could do with a bit more of the media spotlight and I can't get enough of them.

Ha ha. Fudging hell. Have a bad feeling that of all the weekends that Villa visit my nearest ground, I'm buggering off to Scotland for the weekend. Glasgow...Glasgow in january...I'm going to Glasgow...in january.
That said this game could be just as uncomfortable and send just as many chills to my bones.

Didn't we get 8 the last time we went to Wycombe? And five the time before.

Yes.
That said when we played them in a friendly last pre-season (yes...friendly I know) we were outplayed.

The 8-3 was a great game. 3-1 down at half time if I recall. We looked appalling.
