I've tried to occupy myself this season with endless movies, books, etc etc literally anything to take my mind away from Villa but they always linger in the back of my mind, I kind of knew the club had thrown in the towel but you cant help but cling to a tiny bit of hope that they might surprise us on transfer deadline day, I've hit rock bottom today.

I certainly share your sentiments.
The lack of activity in the transfer window feels worse than most of our inept performances. It's a realisation that I don't want to except but know full well that it will become a reality.
If the board has any decency, once the window is shut they should offer early bird season tickets at a reduced price.

Why is it that our glorious leader summoned Fox to the states to talk transfers after a full ten days of the window had passed?

You'd think we had all the time in the world.

In fairness we did have all the time in the world if our intention was to sign no one.
